The guy's not being racist! Call centres in Britain are full of people with strong accents who are difficult to understand and can't understand you properly. It's not racist to want someone who can talk to you properly to be at the call centre. It's xenophobic! *thumbs up* "How did you get interested in that type of thing?"Just a case of being clearer on what you (ironically) mean. Saying you want someone who can understand you better on the phone and vice versa is quite different to saying there needs to be more English in call centres. And yes it's on Sky Sports 1. No Way Out that is.

It's not racist at all.
Call me xenophobic/racist or whatever, but If I find the person at the other end of the line struggles with my surname, then I always ask to be put through to someone who's first language is English.
I just like to speak to somebody (a) I can understand and (b) has a decent grasp of the english language
When I have a problem, whether PPV, bank, Internet etc I want to make sure the person on the other end of the line understands my issues, and that I am confident they can resolve them.

I'll watch it tonight because it's free, and also the Elimination Chamber should be decent.
If it was on Box Office, I would not have bought it.

It's not racist to want someone who can talk to you properly to be at the call centre. Yep he's right, nearly all call centres for big companies have moved out of Britain to India/Pakistan so they can hire staff on the cheap. Problem is customer service is SOOOO freaking awful. You call up and someone answers with a very strong Indian accent called 'insert standard British name here' they have a script you can here them russling through, you ask them a question not on the script, they take 30 seconds to reply saying they'll put you through to someone else, you get put through to someone who can speak slightly better English, they also have a very British first name e.g. Richard and the cycle continues, until you get so p***** off you hang up. Oh and I blame Channel 4 for having to pay for pay per views now. Ahh the good old days.

Hey, does anyone remember when Channel 4 had PPVs? First ever full WW(F)E show I watched was RR2000 - Those were definitely the days.
C4 also had Heat if I recall.
With regards to call centres, I think the problem of a language barrier exists in our own country - working in a call centre, have you ever tried speaking to elderly people with regional accents?
Give me Indian call centre anyday.

It's not actually racist.
Once my tiscali broadband failed, and i had an indian chap at £1.50 who didnt understand what i was saying and gave me some useless advice that was clearly read of a screen.
It's not racist to want to talk to someone that understands you... if he spoke perfect cohearant english and you didn't want to talk to him due to him being indian then that is racist.. otherwise, don't be so silly.

Virgin really need to get some English people on there call center system, Tell you what, let me just quote you again. You said more with that than anything I care to. So yeah, I AM calling you a racist, and yes, asking for more "English people", you DO deserve it. And you've been proven to be something of a fool haven't you? And yes you most certainly deserved that.

The 2000 Rumble was an absolute shambles. Their handling of the shows when they ran them on tape delay afterwards wasn't much better either.

Aye, some of time they just seemed to forget about Heat on a Sunday as well. Didn't they fail to censor Mae "flashing" at RR2000 and it caused a bunch of complaints from shocked mothers out there?

Yeah that was bad but for me it was slightly worse, as that was the moment that my Mum walked in to see what i was watching.

I don't know why I bother paying for Sky Sports. The only thing I watch on it is the PPV's and as there are so few of them I pay out loads for nothing.

For the record, whoever asked, Royal Rumble 2000 was the first PPV Channel 4 showed.
