How about Elizabeth? Oh, that's right...
What about Gene Okerlund? I remember him mentioning Jake's name in his own HOF induction and getting a big pop.

Steamboat or Dibiase are the 2 logical choices (then again, dibiase may be inducted himself this year, it would be odd for a HOFer to induct another HOFer on the same night).

Jim "The Anvil" Nienhart. He knows what it's like to gamble with the Snake.

Jake has helped alot of guys during his career especially the latter part of his career. He took Austin and Taker under his wing in 92 and 96 respectively. Im sure one of them could induct Jake.

saggyboy, I think you have those reversed. It would be 'Taker in '92 and Austin in '96.
If I had my way, it'd be Savage. Their feud was highly emotional and most memorable. As for the, non-fans don't remember "Macho Man" Randy Savage, I say bullshit. Most non-fans are stuck thinking wrestlers from the 80s are still fighting and if you bring up Savage's name, they'd remember him as "The Slim Jim Guy" or "the dude with the gravelly voice" or something.

Randy Orton?
I mean most new fans would probably remember him best for that promo they had together

Oh, I'd love to see him included, he definitely deserves it. Just keep an eye on him at the after-show party...
Yep, Undertaker should do it. He doesn't appear at tribute shows when a wrestler died (not only Owen's, but also Eddie's and Benoit's), true, but I think he could do Jake's induction. You just shouldn't let a character named "Undertaker" appear at a show for a recently deceased man, I'm sure Taker doesn't like that either. I'd think he would have liked to speak a few words e.g. after Eddie passed away, but with a gimmick like that, no way. A short speech for a living legend that worked with him for a while, I don't see the problem here. It's not like he has to wear a suit and smile for the cameras.

As previously mentioned, Dibiase and Steamboat have the most cordial relationship with the WWE out of all of the suggestions at this point. A name that's been brought up that I think could be a possibility is Raven. He's free of TNA now and I'm sure Vince wouldn't stand in the way of making a one time appearance.
Another name that's possible is DDP. He and Raven both were mentored by Jake early in their careers and it would make for a funny indiction speech I'm sure.
Anyway, I think this is pretty much idle speculation. The fact that Jake and Hall are going to be at the HOF means likely just that. They're going to be there as guests. I would think that the WWE would want to save Jake as a big name for next year, because this year it's all going to be about Flair. If you look at the pattern of inductions, there's usually one or two big names (Hogan and Piper for instance) and then the rest are mid carders, tag teams, announcers, and managers. I'm thinking they'll save Jake for next year, but you never know.

I dunno listening to many of jakes shoot interviews and radio interviews he doesnt take too highly of Ted Dibiase. He criticized ted about how ted slammed wwe from years from a moral and religious point-o-view yet went back for the money as an agent. Also he called him a "mechanic" and told a story of how ted was in the main event and went to jake for advice. Jake says, "Your facing the champion and you need my help?" "You are in the main even fool" He also mentioned how Ted was a huge "wrestling politician" in his day and used to kiss vince's ass every day
Ps: sorry about the years I flip flopped them on accident

Just for the record, Taker was at the Owen show, they just didn't show him on camera because he was crying during the opening and they didn't want to go against his character or whatever.
As for who should induct Jake, if it's not Austin, then I think Foley would do a good job. They were aligned together in WCW and all.

Hate to burst anyone's bubble but according to Jake's myspace page he hasn't been contacted by the WWE about the HOF and he (or Scott Hall) are not leaving the rehab facility for the ceremony

He should induct himself. No introduction. He just walks out and starts talking like only he can.
