wow, im not gonna start that now, but im looking forward to reading that tomorrow If you trawl the site over the last 6-7 weeks you`ll find all my articles. So far I`ve done Dynamite Kid, Davey Boy Smith, Chris Adams, Alfred Hayes, Big Daddy and Mark Rocco. I was actually putting together a book about british pro wrestling, the history of it and where it currently is/ what it needs to get out of its rut, but financially getting a publisher wasn`t viable so I put my research on the wrestlers in column form and begged Stevie J of Angrymarks to let me post them on the site ;D

Has Adrian Street ever step foot in a WWF ring? Nice one. I'd say David and Kevin Von Erich would have been good fits. Also, I would have loved to see Bobby Eaton in the Federation. Tommy Rich would have gotten lost in the shuffle, but could have been a good low to midcard guy. Some guys would have been good for comedic value, like a PN News run. Guys I wish would have had longer/better runs would have been: Dr. Death Terry Gordy/The Freebirds David Sammartino (Ok, just kidding. 3 years is long enough.)

Sting, definitely Disco Inferno (would have been fun around 1996 or so; I heard they wanted him as HTM's protege but couldn't get him and went to Billy Gunn instead)
I'm kind of drawing a blank. I'm not sure how good they could've handled Samoa Joe. Maybe as a Umaga type monster minus the whole 1980's savage gimmick. I would have liked to see Chris Candido as himself as well as Shane Douglas rather than some ridiculous cartoon gimmicks. I'll think of some more later.

Yea, Sting. Interesting that he's got ot be the most famous/recognizeed wrestler never to work for WWE.
Muta and Hayabusa would have been cool too

I've always been surprised that La Parka has never made it to WWE. He has a marketable gimmick and character, shows more personality then 90% of the roster without having to say anything,,is big enough to fight the larger wrestlers and small enough to fight cruisers, can work decently with any opponent, and can be shoved into as many stupid segments as possible and still make them hilarious.
For being called word wrestling ENTERTAINMENT,its hard to believe they haven't signed up one of the most colorful and entertaining personalities to be seen in the squared circle.
As everyone has already said,I'm surprised Vince never signed on Great Muta. Theirs no problem with him being stiff or dangerous, because he worked numerous times with the NWA and other American groups. Even WWE has used Japanese wrestlers such as Hakushi and Taka. Its a shame he never made it,because Muta was one of few Japanese wrestlers to truly "get" American wrestling.

I think the reason Muta never worked for them is that he was an AJPW guy and WWF worked with NJPW. Nothing to do with stiffness.

Jericho said it best in his book - Japanese and Mexican wrestlers are excellent workers but horrible promo masters. They just wouldn't cut it in a big time American promotion, certainly not WWE, where promo work is actually as, if not more, important than wrestling skills.
Possibly why Muta was never booked by Vince. In fact, name a Japanese star that made it to McMahon promoted main events? Yeah, I can't either.
And Stryker - great read! Very well researched.

please tell me you're doing one on the royal brothers, they rocked. The individual bios are going to be on the more significant names, but when I exhaust them, I`m going to collect together my other research and do one covering the lesser known guys in maybe two or three parts, before I move onto promoters and promotions, and the current guys.

that big daddy piece was great, you got any plans to do the likes of Nagasaki and saint? Thanks bro I appreciate it ;D Nagasaki is pencilled in to be posted next week, Saint is in the pipeline. Basically everybody who has been anybody in wrestling from the UK is going to be covered at some point. So far like I say, DK, Davey Boy, Chris Adams, Lord Alfred, Big Daddy and Rollerball Rocco have gone up.
