Wasn't it a Meltzer report that said something to the effect of him having heat for not being upset that he was going to lose, because he was supposed to respond with wanting to win. Or something?
Or was that a work?
Because I could not be happier to see Meltzer blatantly wrong. Once the dirt sheets lost their main source in WWE, they got completely derailed.

There was an earlier thread on this forum about how he was getting heat for agreeing to put over Chavo instead of demanding his title back. But, back to the topic, the only way CM Punk's win could be demeaned is if he decides to cash it in for the ECW title. Then, it becomes a wasted exercise for all involved, especially Punk, who could have been moved up the ladder in a prominent spot on Smackdown.

I'm probably going to be in the minority here when I say I actually hopes he goes to RAW.
He's done everything he could on ECW and I just don't seeing him mesh well on Smackdown. As in stands, I would never believe Punk going over Undertaker of even Batista. But going over Orton is a huge possibility.

That would hurt the next years MITB as much as anything.

I am a big CM Punk fan, but I don't think he's been established enough to challenge for the WWE title or the WHC. Best case scenario: Punk gets moved to Raw or Smack Down and gets gradually built up to world champion status and he uses his money in the bank for one of these titles once he's been established. A more likely scenario: He'll cash it in for the ECW title, which he's already held and wouldn't elevate him. Everyone who has won the MITB match has had a great use for their title shot. I don't think WWE will change anything and mess up this one.

That wasn't a real report from any sites. I thought it was pretty obvious how the threadstarter was either doing a parody of the newz sites, or trying to see if people would believe anything they read on the internet, but whatever. If you checked different websites, it wasn't reported anywhere.

My opinion.
His match with Morrison on Smackdown two days ago won this MITB match for him. His work in general has been improved lately, but that Morrison match was really great. Just like his ECW Title win against Morrison proved he has what it takes, this recent match with JM showed he is ready for the feuds with the big players, such as Edge, Jericho, and Orton, and if he keeps making progress, Taker, HBK, and HHH (which is the real money feud, WM main event-worthy in a few years).
I also see a push for John Morrison soon, maybe a feud with Kane for the ECW Title.

Edge will find a way to steal the MITB shot for the second year in a row, and MITB-stealing will be Edge's new permanent gimmick.
Seriously, though, I except Edge to initiate a feud with Punk over the title shot maybe as soon as Tuesday. No idea who'll ultimately end up with it, though.

I thought he was gonna win going into it.So if I'm right on that maybe I'm right on my thoughts as to why he won.I think that he will use it to go to a better show than Extremley Crappy Workers but I dont see him winning either belt for a year or 2 still.Again though this will get him to the bigger stage.(and I cant't stand it.)

I was over at my friends house today, and one of my friends said that Punk was so upset with WWE that he might go to TNA.
