If joe were in anyway a face, yes. He's getting back to being one, but he was a bitchy heel for a long time. I don't care if he was defined as one or not, he was. Actually nobody on TNA is a face or heel CROSS THE LINE, remember?  |

No, i don't see how this is dumb at all. Like he said, if he got a match it would just be full of interference and swerves and shit.
He is somewhat stupid for not signing the contract yet. I know he's in the position of power (Cornette has been told he HAS to get Joe signed or he's fired), but what happens if the bigwigs who told Cornette that happen to change their mind?
Joe would be screwed, he wouldn't get the (kayfabe) huge amount of money he's demanding (more than Angle), and would have to settle for far less and without all those other clauses he demanded. He could not re-sign and go to WWE, but he'd still have to take far less money there.

1. Joe could signed the contract, Then ask Cornette to make the match where noone is allowed at ringside or its a lumberjack match.
2. Just get a restraining order like Sting did, Worked for him.
3. If Joe was really smart, It would ask for a match with Angle, Get 2 refs, One outside and 1 inside. To make sure and see when Tomko and AJ interfear, He wins by DQ, Thus making him champ.

Joe could ask for the title match to be in a Steel Cage.
But then again when exactly was the last time a Steel Cage match actually prevented run ins and interference? ;D

Joe is a smart guy. Aligning himself with Kevin Nash = teh greatness.
MCMG's aligned themselves with Nash = best dam tag team going.
Jay Lethal aligned himself with Nash = Black Machismo makes everyone mark out.
Sonjay Dutt didn't listen to Nash = now he be jobbing.

I do like Joe aligning himself with Nash, that doesn't bother me but Joe's whole character seems totally messed up.
I mean Joe is meant to just beat people up and destroy them ala "JOE'S GONNA KILL YOU!" I mean in kayfabe Joe should be able to handle Tomko and AJ from interfering and even if he can't than he could say he'll sign his contract if Cornette bars AJ and Tomko from the ring and if they do interfere AJ and Tomko will be fired on the spot. How is that complicated and than Roode can interfere making Lethal Lockdown Joe, Nash, Christian and Booker T vs. Angle, AJ, Tomko, and Roode. Now wouldn't that make sense?
