Once again, WWE screws over SmackDown! It's almost like SmackDown! belongs to another wrestling company, and Vince is trying to put them out of business. *Smackdown is out of business* Vince: You see that, Shane? THAT is how to put your competition out of business! I just put Smackdown out of it's misery by driving it's ratings down the toilet with my flagship RAW program. Shane: Dad... Vince: For nearly ten years, Smackdown has been a threat to us here in the WWE, by providing more wrestling for fans to possibly see during the week. But not anymore, oh no, it's going to be 100% pure RAW~! action. Shane:Dad..... Vince: The pun was highly intended right there Shane, when I said 'RAW action', I meant it as in Monday Night Raw, because from now on it's the only show in the land. Shane: Dad! Vince: Yes, son? Shane: You owned Smackdown, you just lost millions of dollars by putting your own company out of business! We just lost thousands of stockholders because of this, and some of our advertising contracts aren't going to be renewed! Vince: But at least we won the war, Shane, at least we won the war.

I see no good from this. Main reason I watched ECW religiously is because it was live. Now with the temptation of reading the spoilers Monday night I might skip it if it looks lame. ECW helped SmackDown with the talent exchange, if that exchange is now with Raw then ECW will just get buried and SmackDown will be even thinner. Least if I ever get enough of a life to not have time to watch 5 hours of WWE programming per week I know I'll just be able to watch RAW and not miss anything.

This would be great. Smackdown really feels like WWE for Kids to me. The ECW/Smackdown exchange never made sense. Completely different feels. Raw and ECW, however, that's much better.

I could even see this happening, sadly.

I am saddened to see Heat, which has been around for 2 months short of 10 years, is going to end.
Also, someone PLEASE explain the desire to put Super Crazy in ECW. He is not going to be able to dive off balconys all of a sudden. He may get more tv time, but he's gonna wrestle exactly the same, do the same moves, probably be as over as he is now, the only difference is the stage will say something different when he comes out.

They think by putting ECW guys on Raw which is their main show and biggest audience they can get more people to watch ECW, especially if they have Raw guys appear on ECW, simple as that.

Basically, you knew Raw was going to take all the people who have "up and coming star" written all over them in the draft anyway. So moving the entire roster is hardly a big step.
Plus, I don't know if you've noticed. But on weeks where there are no house shows and Raw and Smackdown are booked fairly close (as in in the same state) ECW people have appeared on all three shows

If you move to England it's on TV Not all of us can live in England. I don't either. The 5-7-0 is straight up in the Northeast U.S., yo. But it is the best way to see Super Crazy on tv. Either that or buy my ECW TV Tapes off me.

If Smackdown ends up being a standalone 2-hour show, they better either do an hour of dark matches, or lower ticket prices. The cheapest tickets for the last Smackdown/ECW taping here in GR were $40. I don't like the idea of paying $40 to watch 2 hours of wrestling from the nosebleed section.

This makes no sense.
The ECW/Smackdown 'Talent Exchange'? The thin Smackdown roster? ECW having an almost-live feel?
But hey, there is one good thing that could come of it - this may enable the UK to get ECW a bit earlier.

Yes we finally get a new classics show, hopefully it will be random matches/segments from different eras not like the old one they used to have.

Well, if you take some of the guys who are originally from Smackdown off then it would help. And there are injuries. Smackdown could get Rey Mysterio, Kane, The Great Khali, Chavo Guerrero, Gregory Helms, Kenny Dykstra, and Bam Neely back within a few months.

I have a question about ECW's current show. Is it still live after Smackdown, or is it taped first and then preempted until 10/9c on SciFi ?

I have a question about ECW's current show. Is it still live after Smackdown, or is it taped first and then preempted until 10/9c on SciFi ? sometimes its live. But most often its taped before Smackdown! and they make edits as needed before they air on SciFi. This is how they make Adamle seem smarter than he really is. But my only fear is that the move to RAW will kill CM Punks status as he wont be a big fish in a small pond anymore. He's bound to get buried by Orton or someone.
