I've just woken up from watching the Draft Live and my mind is still buzzing from it just like many people are. And the reason being that for the first time in a year, I really want to see where the WWE takes their shows after Night of Champions.
A year ago was, as we all know, sad and shocking for one reason but it didn't help last year that Smackdown got beaten pretty badly. Most of its draft picks either got fired, injured or retired with the soul survivor being The Great Khali. And it also explained Smackdown's dramatic fall from grace (IMO) because of the fact they had to rely on one fued to keep them going (Edge/Batista/Taker).
As I was watching this year I could have seen some of the picks happening, but at the same time...some of the picks were damn shocking and pretty ballsy to do. But none of them seemed desperate and all of them got me really excited because it fills everything out nicely and gives you some interesting stuff to watch until the next one.
And that's why I'm back as a fan. They needed to shake things up in a big way and they pretty much shook the snowglobe up. You can look at every other thread and see what I mean.
Last year, I dropped out of watching because of Benoit. Because I didn't feel comfortable with watching a full WWE show and PPV (minus the 3 hour shows) and I needed something to shake me up and say that I should be watching again.
Well done WWE. You gave me that shake up. I'm back in. ;D

I agree. I'm interested in seeing Rey and Punk on Raw. I'm interested in seeing how Jeff Hardy and HHH fareson Smackdown (or if HHH even stays). I'm even interested in seeing what Matt Hardy does on ECW.
The McMahon thing at the end caught me off guard, and it can really go either way. I'm completely down for another "who done it" angle, but it's still kinda silly. Btw, WHY did McMahon fall off the stage before the thing crashed on him??

The stage broke away into a ramp which he fell down.

It was a very interesting show that helped spark interest in a stagnant environment. The draft was actually effective, and it definitely did help SMACKDOWN as I imagined. Good job WWE!

It's interesting. But it does make NoC kind of obvious: Spoiler: Cena wins is valid again.
Also, I really don't care for Big Show as ECW Champion again. I'd rather someone like Elijah or Morrison were given the ball to run with. Heck, even Kofi or MattEvanSydalBourne, just something new.
But apart from that I'm very interested. Punk on Raw may mean a MITB push. Rey on Raw is.....new. Jeff on SD could be good, I could see good things in an MVP or Edge feud. HHH on SD should also be good- an Edge feud, or a Taker feud after a 7 year break when Taker finally returns. Matt Hardy on ECW could be OK, Batista on Raw has possibilities but will mean that the Raw ME scene will have no appeal to me at all (Cena/Orton/Batista? No thanks). Still ,at least it gets him off SD, which I might start watching again now.
I don't like JR leaving Raw- it's always been JR on the show so it'll feel wrong. Still, hi mand Foley should work well, it's just the Cole/King combo I dread.
Umaga and Kennedy on SD is also promising. I just hope it means Regal returns to SD as well to resume his feud with Kennedy, although it does give poor Paul Burchill pretty much nothing to do anymore.
Still, it's certainly shaken things up a lot and could produce some good stuff. ECW got royally raped in the draft, losing their 2 biggest names, but other than that it was alright. Raw got some fresh stuff (although the aforementioned main event scene is going to still keep me away), SD got really strengthened IMO, and then to cap it off there's another Tradgedy Strikes Vince angle, which I personally love. I think it's Regal who's behind it personally.

The part with Khali last night was the only entertaining thing he has ever done.

Now that ECW is taping after Raw, I wouldn't be surprised if Kane retains and Teddy Long cancels the talent exchange with Smackdown (you know cause Vickie used him as her black man servant) and does it with Raw.

It's interesting. But it does make NoC kind of obvious: Spoiler: Cena wins is valid again. In fairness it could go the other way. If Batista beats Edge then HHH beats Cena. The problem is the outcome of the WHC will make the WWE Title Match predictable regardless.

On the plus side, if HHH wins at NoC, he can ditch the non-spinning spinner belt, since it won't be going back to Cena anytime soon.

But they aren't going to ditch the spinner belt for a long time. As awful as it is, kids buy it. I wish it'd be dropped for the Undisputed belt, but i doubt it.

God, I can't wait 'till someone destroys that thing.

I'm REALLY interested in what Smackdown will be doing now. With the talent they both acquired and kept on their show, this is as close to their glory days of 2002 as they have been in a LONG time.
Plus, having JR calling the show will just make it feel that much more important, at least to me.
RAW will be fine, they still have stars, its still live, but now Smackdown appears to actually be on a more even playing field for once, which I like.
As for ECW, it's been my favorite wrestling show on tv for a while now, because they use lower card guys so well and give them the chance to shine. Now by losing Kane and Punk and gaining only Matt Hardy, the HAVE to push these guys more, which makes me happy. I do however hope they pick up a few more lower card guys from the other shows to use. Thats why I'm still holding out hope for an announcement for a supplemental draft.

I've never understood that, because loads of people still bought the Austin Smoking Skull belt back in the day and it was only on tv for a short amount of time, but that never seemed to effect how it sold. Hell, they sold Rock and Undertaker versions of the WWF title that NEVER appeared on tv.

I fail to see how HHH moving to Smackdown means the design for the belt changes.

The draft intrigued me. I LOVE the idea of Triple H on Smackdown. I'd love him to stay there and turn heel and have a Flair-like run on that brand. I'm hoping he doesnt get traded back to RAW for Cena,Batista,HBK and Michael Cole.

Regarding the design of the WWE Title:
The company is lazy.
