Wait I have a question.
Is Cody Rhodes now a two time tag champion? Or does his reign kind of continue?

RAW is going to be interesting tomorrow night.....for the first fifteen minutes of the show, after which, I will immediately get tired of Lawler/Cole, and the McMahon bullcrap, and turn it off. The first 15 minutes will involve the update on Mr. McMahon, and him coming out and whining about him being crippled. You know what? I'm gonna go kill some MFers in GTA4. Naaah. It'll be updates/fallout from the PPV, and THEN the boring ass McMahon stuff. First fifteen will prolly be either a Jericho or Cena promo to advance those angles.

I didn't see the PPV, but I read the results. Jericho dropped the IC title to Kofi Kingston?!?! Really? Mark Henry is ECW champion? Why?

Wow, what a freaking show! I just got back and again, just wow.
Quick notes to start off:
People, we as fans need to have a freaking dress code. I cannot believe how many people where wearing shirts for Lashley and Rikishi. At least wear a shirt of someone with the company. Also, you cannot dress up as John Cena. I don't mean that in a bad, "You cannot like Cena" way, but, a "Its normal wear and you don't stand out" way.
WWE went up on shirt prices by $10. Superstar shirts are now $35 dollars and event shirts (like the NoC shirt) are now $25. They also only had Trips, Batista and the NoC shirt in XL and up for some reason.
I don't know how it came across on TV but, they had audio problems all night. The intro music would start off at a normal (for a live event) level but, it would shoot up to a deafening level out of no where. The production guys next to me were pissed about it all night.
From the "Why does this surprise me" department:
They had a banner for "each title" hanging in the entrance way but, the banner for the ECW Title was the Cruiserweight one. It was the Cruiserweight Title with the ECW logo on top of the WWE logo and a sticker say "Heavy" over "Cruiser".
Dark Match: Jeff Hardy over MVP with a Swanton. MVP got a good face pop for being the first guy out but, once Hardy came out, that was gone. The crowd went insane for Hardy. Damn good match.
The announcers came out next, starting with JR who got a nice face pop, same for Foley. They then introduced Tazz who was cheered and 5 to 10 seconds later came Adamle who was booed soundly. I mean he was torn into. Next was Cole who got worse than Adamle. King came out to no pop surprisingly.
Miz and Morrison vs. Finlay and Hornswoggle: Morrison got a good chant when he came out but, once Hornswoggle came out that ended. The crowd was out of it for most of the match with Finlay. The loved Hornswoggle and were chanting his name like crazy. The ending kind of killed the crowd as they were expecting a finisher but, I enjoyed it.
Hardy, Matt vs. Chavo. Boring and no one seemed to care. Nothing against Hardy but, no one seemed to buy into Chavo. They cheered Hardy's big moves and that was about it.
ECW Title Match: Mark Henry got a mixed reaction surprisingly. Don't know if its because of the Texas ties or not. Big Show was cheered pretty good but, not a big pop as I expected. Kane was freaking over. Second biggest pop to that point.
I don't know if it got on TV but, when Henry and Show were going at in the ring, the trainers came down and spent a few minutes with Kane. They went and talked to the ring announcers and then left. We loved the Superplex/Suplex on Big Show and I loved seeing Henry when the belt. He seemed to get a good face pop when he won too.
Couldn't hear the Batista/Cena/Punk promo. Like I said the audio was messed up and the crowd drowned out what little there was.
World Tag Team Title Match: No one seemed to care about the turn as they all expected it. People where literally taking bets on when Cody when turn. He turned and there was a little bit of boos but, a lot more apathy.
IC Title match: No one seemed to know who Kofi was and those that did were disappointed that it was him and not HBK challenging for the belt. A lot of people where asking who Kofi was and, quite a few thought he was debuting tonight brand new. Lots of boring chants and a few Jericho chants until HBK came out. He came out and the crowd went nuts. I loved seeing the Liontamer (knee in the back version) return. No one seemed to notice Cade until he got kicked.
Women's Title match: Weird. When Lillian announced that the match was for the Women's title match, people cheered. Mickie came out and people cheered. Katie came out and people booed. Match started and most of the crowed left. Mickie won and people cheered but, most didn't see the match. Just odd.
World Heavyweight Title: Edge got a few cheers but, mostly was hated. Batista was over like crazy. He also has a new Tron video. Anyway, crowd loved this match. When Vickie came out, the crowd hated her. I mean, she over easily the most hated person there. After the ref bump most expected Chavo and La Familia so they were dead for that. Then Batista got a hold of Vickie. My God did the crowd want her knocked out. When Batista threw her over the ropes, we went nuts. After it was over, they went for the standing ovation for the loser thing and it didn't happen. There was a little bit of a Batista chant but, nothing much.
WWE Title Match: Wow, just wow. Easily match of the night. I may never get to go to a Wrestlemania but, this match and the atmosphere it had too be WM level. Cena was booed heavily when his music hit and it continued when he came out thought the Cena fans started chiming in there. Trips had the nearly the whole crowd behind him when he came out. When Cena was in control, his fans were up and when Trips was, it was his fans. When it was an even contest the whole crowd was into it. The FU with the near fall got most of the people in the risers and cheap seats on there feet thinking it was over with a huge mix of boos and cheers that switched fans when it was made known that it was a two count. When Trips hit the Pedigree for the win, I freaked out. Just amazing reaction. I lost my voice. Most cheered the Trips win while a few booed. Big pro Trips crowd it seemed.
Anyway, that was the most fun I have had a wrestling show since an ECW house show in 99. I really hope they don't make us wait another 5 years between PPVs.
I try to have some pics up by tomorrow.
EDIT: I also have to thank Coke for handing out free energy drinks after the show. My throat was shot and I need that drink.

Great show - got all my predictions bar one right, even if I didn't get all the exact storyline implications correct, I still got the results The first match was a lot of fun. That was a great way to get Miz and Morrison more heat. Couldn't help but be entertained by Hornswoggle's moves. Didn't really care about Matt vs Chavo as it had no build up but it was decent enough. I thought they would swerve with Kane retaining, but Henry as champ will be interesting. I liked the Cody turn. He seems to have a good heel type of look, and I think him and Dibiase will be very good together. It's sad that not many people knew who Kofi were...people really should watch ECW more. From TV it looked like he was getting a good reaction when he started showcasing his agility, and they seemed to love the finish. I did hear a few boring chants though, which is very sad. I think this is the way the IC title should be used though. It will help bring Kofi up, rather than being a useless prop on a semi-maineventer. Jericho, HBK, Punk, Jeff etc were all too good for the IC belt...in terms of having it do anything for their career. It will help Kofi. Women's title: Katie is gorgeous. That is all. WHC: Absolutely fantastic match. Ladies and gentlemen...this is why Vickie Guerrero is great at her job. She is so hated that it makes moments like that, when a face finally gets their hands on her absolutely epic. I was shocked when she took that bump, but it definately proves her worth, because the crowd went nuts. It backs up what I always said, the heel isn't supposed to be the entertaining one by themselves, they can sometimes be so hated that it makes for an entertaining moment when the face gets hold of them, and makes the face more loves in the process. This match should hopefully also put the nail in the coffin of the 'Batista can't wrestle' myth. Main event: Epic. Great story telling, great psychology demonstrated by both men. Crowd was into it, and it was awesome. Loved the show.

Personally I think for a secondary PPV that was as good as you were going to get without a title change. It was brilliant. I liked Judgement Day myself, but I can definately see that being the weakest of the year so far. That's not a bad thing though, because they've been on a hot streak this year.

When WWE decided to shake things up, I think they should have put some thought into not making the title scene such a clustersmurf as part of that. So you honestly think they don't know exactly what they are doing with the belts? Do you think they just woke up in the middle of the night last night and said "Holy Crap! We accidentally booked both Champs on the same show! Whatever do we do now???"

Do you know what's funny?
Kofi Kingston is the top guy on WWE's flagship show.
Repeat the sentence in your head, let it sink in and possibly let out a little smile. Could WWE be getting really interesting? I say yes, and thank God it's been shaken up, it's been a great half year for the company
