The Shockmaster will have as much luck with the wall as the Yellow M+M on the old #36 car.... NONE!

Amazing car, would be grrrrrreat for Nascar 2003, great game much better than anything EA has done thus far.
Though my love belongs to Grand Prix Legends.

Car designers...
Question...
What program(s) do I need to do this, and, if I have no skills, how hard is it to make a car?
I've got a couple I want to make based on past designs from prior years, and I want to know how hard is it?

Well, no artistic skills. Model design based off of 1985 Darrell Waltrip Monte Carlo SS Thoughts?

Yeah, if I could fine a good shot of the actual hood from that time, it would look a hell of alot better. I was able to find the actual old Kentucky Fried Chicken logos and positioned them accordingly. Unfortunately I can't find an old BUD logo form that car (at least not a straight on, right over the hood shot) so I had to completely do that one by hand. It's still being worked on, but, I'm liking it. it's amazing that an old Monte Carlo can sort of, kind of convert to the COT template.

Here's one I just whipped up. Problem is, I don't know how to show it in 3D. I'll lay this over my 3D template tonight and show it off for you.

The Bud logo from that time is almost exact. (I'm a Bill Elliott fan from way back.) I still think the WrestleCrap car needs the Gooker on the hood.

I had dinner with him once. WAY back. Thanks for the compliment. I'm going to try to recreate some of the classic rides, depending on my artistic ability, and see how some of them translate into the COT and how it would look. I think I'm going to try to do Rusty Wallace's old Miller Genuine Draft 27 Oldsmobile, or Alan Kulwicki's Hooters 7 Ford next

Tonight I'm going to do the #12 Neil Bonnett Budweiser/KFC Monte Carlo (but that shouldn't take long, since it's essentially the same car with a color swap). If anyone is interested in the DDS for these, let me know. (DDS files are the ones compatible with Nascar 09) Also, I THINK (not sure) if you are on my Xbox Live list we can access each other's garages and swap cars.

I would get the files from you, but I don't think they work on the PS2. *sad face* Oh well, just looking at your work is quite good as well, since the only guy I usually race with anyways is Dale Jr.
Let me think of a few others that would be fun for you to make.
Oh yeah, I'd love to see an old one of Awesome Bill from Dawsonville.

Hmm, I'm not sure if the ps2 version has it or not...
I'll check though.
I've got kind of a running list in my head of the cars I want to tackle.
Rusty Wallace's #27 MGD Cale Yarborough's #28 Hardees Darrell Waltrip's #11 Pepsi Challenger " " #88 Mountain Dew Dale Earnhardt's #3 Wrangler Neil Bonnett's #12 Budweiser/KFC
It's hard to learn, and it took me a LOT of tries before I had the placements right, the template they give is a bit hard to follow and know exactly what goes where, but I made one car and now I'm hooked.

The Challenger, I don't know why, but I've always thought it was an awesome car.

Oh man! I had that DW die cast and a Petty die-cast from the same year when I was a Tot...I'd kill myself if I knew what they were worth now
