I've been dealing with the police now for the last 30 minutes they said if the mother reports this to the station they will charge the man otherwise they will let him go Not to be insensitive but if she doesn't press charges maybe she could use a little knock to the noggin. People like that need to be taken off the street for many reasons. Not the least of which the guy likely is suffering from some mental dissorder and is going unmedicated. And if he doesn't get locked up/treated, he'll likely just do it to another kid, perhaps when nobody is around to help. |

Honestly I would have done the same thing. Their is nothing to be ashamed of, that guy was being a freak thinking he could snatch kids off the streets and get away with it, and you gave him a reality check. Notify the police, if he's still on the ground call an ambulance, and you're done.

I've got the local shelter accross the street from me. In my neighborhood parents sit on the stoop and watch the kids. They sort of take turns. Now homeless people aren't necessarilly evil folks, a lot are nice enough, but their exists an unfortunate degree of mental disorder amongst their ranks. Then again the most dangerous people are the ones that can hide it better and have the resources to actualize their fantasies. Son of Sam, Ed Gein, and Jeffry Dahmer had their own homes. world's a minefield I guess. |

I don't know if this is the appropriate forums, but here it goes about 25 minutes ago right down the street from my house I see this really doped up homeless man and he is sitting right up against the building, and this young mom with a few kids are walking around the neighborhood and then the freakiest crap I've ever so I'm around 40 feet away while this kid and his mom are screaming and he grabbed one of the kids that was closest to him, so I just ran at him at full speed and just planted my leg right into his face..... however I see this homeless dude all the time and now I feel bad was I right or wrong? should I have avoided it all together and have self guilt? You wrote it kind of jumbled, but what I'm getting out of it is that the homeless guy grabbed one of the kids. Right? If that's the case, than you took it easy on him, IMO. You were absolutely right to do what you did. I'll put this in all caps so you can read it easily, THERE'S NO f***ING REASON YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD!!!!! Hell, if I knew you I'd buy you a drink for not being a coward. Well done. |
