It's never really been a thing I've seriously considered doing. For God's sakes don't do it to be doing it though-realize one way or another what you want, and don't have children just because society dictates it

Sure, when the time is right one day. As of now, I'm not exactly raising kids comfortable financially. I know many kids that had kids and had to become parents as opposed to deciding to become parents and that's not the approach I'd like to take if at all possible. Due to the family flophouse nature of grandma's house back in the day, I've gotten a lot of free experience with child rearing skills and philosophies, but I'm all about kids having fun. I'd be weird being the one that has to crack the whip. Mom might have to be the bad guy.

I am a married 23 year old male, right out of college, working in the IS department at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana and my wife wants to kill me because I want a kid. Shes finishing up beauty school here and she feels that I am the type of person that never enjoys life currently. Only looking way to far in the future and tries to plan everything. Psh what do women know?

By far the toughest job on the planet is knowing how to raise a child. Dont do it unless you are completely prepared Financially and mentally. I have absolutely no desire to have children, but I wanted to quote the above because it's very well said. There are just too damn many people having children without being ready or responsible enough.

As a middle school teacher I can say for certain if you don't really really want them, don't have them, because I'm stuck trying to fix and discipline your mess of a kid.
If you want to do your own thing please don't have kids.
I'm 35 and just had my first boy and it's better than any party or do what I want approach to living. I also have a stable job, a nice home, and caring and loving wife. That don't mean life is a cake walk, but I now have much respect for the single parents of the world.
Sacrifice, sure. Unrelenting, there is no end. Worth every moment.
