I used to draw alot. Then I got to art school and everyone's artwork was ridiculously better than mine so I kinda gave up. I'm thinkin about starting up again and makin my own comic. You should get back into it. When my husband first started music school he said the same thing, that he thought everyone was way better than he. Totally not true. He's doing very well in the program. I paint. But that's about it. I probably could go to school to become an art teacher and be alright at it.

I'm an avid artist myself and I was wondering if there was anybody out there in crap-land that was as well. I'm looking forward to going into the career of a graphic artist of sorts some day. Feel free to post some of your work in here. Here's something I've been working on as of lately. Desktopped. Wow, never had my work set as anybody desktop. I feel special. ;D Thank you man. I just use plain old photoshop. If you do ever get around to Two-Face, make sure to send it my way. From the looks of your other art, I'd love to see it. If you ever get the chance, Corel Painter can be a blast (but I haven't had much chance to work on it though). A nice simple program to use for drawing is Sketchbook Pro..you can draw your stuff there, then import it into photoshop afterwards (if you don't want to draw your sketch there first of course). When I can get my hands on a screen capture of Two-Face I'll definitely do it. Keep up with the Joker, it's looks awesome now and I can't wait to see it finished. Thanks for the comments about the art - I appreciate it. I'll definitely have to look into those programs. Joker's gonna take a while though. I started on the hair last night and man, is it time consuming. should have it finished hopefully within the next week or so. And here's a leaked pick of Two-Face if you wanted to use it for your sketch.

With hair you are sometimes better off doing a big "blob" shape with color and then going back into it and refining it over and over. Don't forget to watch out for negative shapes and contour lines..they can be real lifesavers.

I'm more of a cartoonist, than an actual artist.
As of this very moment I am working on a children's picture book, at I am both writing and illustrating...by hand.

Brad - that's a sweet update. Nice job on the hair and I can only imagine how long it took to work on. However, Stark kicks Joker's butt. Buggy - if you want to learn how to draw better (everyone does) you are going to have to avoid using manga and comic book references and such. You will never learn how to draw that way. It's good to use it for inspiration, but follow your own path and with time your work will "sing".
