The Jets The Cowboys The Patriots The Giants The Packers The Steelers The Colts
you can add in the rest!, do you see your team on there? did I strike a nerve? are you saaaad? well too bad sport

I'm a Colt fan, and I don't mind them being called a bandwagon team (because they are) but what annoys me is people who called me a bandwagon jumper after the won the Super Bowl. No I'm not, I was a fan of the Colts since I started watching football again (2000) and have stayed loyal to them the whole time you pricks!!

As a Dallas fan, yes, Dallas is a bandwagon team. I don't deny it.
Not sure about the Packers though.

Seattle could win 10 superbowls, and I doubt they would ever get bandwagon fans

Seattle could win 10 superbowls, and I doubt they would ever get bandwagon fans even when they were in the superbowl, they had no love and everyone was a steelers "fan"

I'd say it's more Brett Favre bandwagon fans rather than Packer fans.
But other than that, I'd agree with that list.

I really don't like bandwagon jumping. I remember in middle school everyone had either Packers or Cowboys gear on. Problem was we lived in neither Wisconsin or Texas, but Minnesota. So pissed off was I that I bought a Bengals jacket (they sucked at the time). People tried to make fun of me, but all I said was at least if I was going to root for a team that wasn't the home team I had the balls to go for a team that wasn't a lock to win. The whole point of having a team in your state or city is for you to center around your team. If you're from somewhere without a team than pick away. Although picking a team that simply outspends the competition is kind of a bitch move IMO. Maybe I take it too seriously, but that's just how I see it. PUT THE YANKEES HAT AND THE COWBOYS JERSEY ON THE GROUND AND STEP AWAY!* *unless you are from either New York or Texas respectively.

As a Dallas fan, yes, Dallas is a bandwagon team. I don't deny it. Not sure about the Packers though. The Packers are def. a bandwagon team. I think it'll go away some now that Favre is gone. Not as bad as Cowboys/Colts/Pats/Giants in my opinion. I constantly see people in their jackets and hats downtown during winter and wearing something else the rest of the year non-sports related. The only time I don't really mind it is the old guys that wear Colts hats. Baltimore is the closest city to where I live (it's actually slightly closer than Philly) so I can buy that some of them were Colts fans from those days. Steelers, eh. I'll admit despite living closer to Philly, I probably see more Steelers gear than Eagles. Then again, this is still Nittany Lion country and especially back in the day, the Steelers were fairly big on signing up a lot of Lion linebackers. The Giants probably bugs me the most. I know a few people that grew up in N.Y. so that doesn't bug me. It's the a-holes I see in Eagles gear when they're doing well (i.e. 2005) and then seeing them in Giants gear now. DON'T F'N SWITCH TEAMS IN THE SAME DIVISION, YOU ASSES.

I live in Indiana and I'm a Lions fan, have been since I was 12. More or less I'm a fan of the team because I love their colors. Some people laugh at that, but whatever. It's fine if you wanna support an out of area team, Just stick with that team. Don't change it every few years.

Steelers have the biggest national following of any NFL team. I am not sure how much of that is bandwagon. I know a lot of people all across the country that are die hard Steelers fan that don't live in Pittsburgh mainly because their parents moved away in the mid 80's because of the crash of the steel industry.

PUT THE YANKEES HAT AND THE COWBOYS JERSEY ON THE GROUND AND STEP AWAY!* *unless you are from either New York or Texas respectively. Well, as long as you get the games, it doesn't bother me. I had a friend who was a Packers fan, his dad was as well, it was because of Favre but it was for years and they had a dish and got the games. Here in PA, we get the Friday night Yankees games and I became a Yankees fan after getting out of baseball for several years after my .014 solo season in little league. I hate people who say "oh hey, you hear the Cowboys won?" "Yeah, you catch the game?" "No, I don't get that station." Seriously, why buy merchandise from a team you're going to watch maybe two-four games a year of? THAT is the definition of bandwagoning. I also, don't mind it if people are honest. My dad has no preferences in NFL and usually watches 2-3 games a week. He likes the old school running game and good defensive lines and will often tune out or off if someone takes a huge lead. He's also said there were teams he liked due to the coaches/way they played. Then again, he's never owned any NFL merchandise that I can ever remember him wearing. He watches about every Nittany Lions game, though, and did buy their Rose Bowl shirt. Then again, I think everyone in Central PA had those.

As a Cowboys fan, I do gotta admit we do have bandwagon fans.....
Also, I WAS a bandwagon fan of the Broncos during the Super Bowl success, but I remained even during their down years. Broncos are my favorite AFC team.

Even us, Rams fans have bandwagon fans back in 1999, when we won our Super Bowl. But I always been a fan of them since they moved to St. Louis back in 95. Where I live in Iowa its mostly Vikings, Bears, and Cowboys fans. I'm one of the few Rams fans.

Why should the Steelers be a "bandwagon team" just because we have a lot of fans?
Granted, when any team has success, you get the bandwagon jumpers.. ANY TEAM. But over all, the Steelers, Cowboys, and Packers are probably the 3 biggest teams in terms of fan support in the NFL, and that's without the people that come along in the Super Bowl years and whatnot.
REAL bandwagon teams are the ones who have empty stadiums when they suck, then all of the sudden everyone in the area wants to claim they love them when they do well. I noticed this here in Tampa when I moved here. When I used to just visit here as a kid, nobody went to Bucs games. But they got good in the early-2000s, and you had all of these "diehard" Bucs fans running around town. Most of those people (and I knew some of them personally) were Dolphins fans prior to this!
THAT'S bandwagon jumping. The Cowboys, Packers, and Steelers will sell out their stadiums and receive strong fan support regardless of how good they are even without all the bandwagoners that come naturally with good seasons.
I mean, not to knock on Seahawk fans as I'm sure there are a lot that truely love their team, but the reason that there were so many more Steeler fans than Seahawk fans around the time of the Super Bowl is because in Pittsburgh football is a HUGE deal. The Steelers are like a religion in that town. And that fandom continues in people and families long after they've left the area. It's just not like that in Seattle.

not everyone who likes those teams are bandwagon fans. i am a cowboys fan from indiana. they have been my favorite team since i was little, herschel walker being my first ever favorite player. i was a fan when all the talk was the bears and the super bowl shuffle and all that bullsh*t. (still hate the bears because of that) i went through some terrible seasons including the immortal babe laufenberg starting a game so i can wear my cowboys gear with pride knowing i didnt hop on when emmitt showed up.
as a matter of fact my favorite teams in basketball and baseball would most likely be considered "bandwagon" teams. the celtics and cardinals. again, they have been my favorites since i was little and will be when im dead. i was a huge ozzie smith and larry bird fan and i stuck with those teams. hell i got a paul pierce alternate jersey from my gf for my birthday in march...2007. ya before the kg trade when they were the laughingstock of sports thats still what i wanted.

I dunno what it is outside KC, but in Kansas City there are alot of Chiefs fans...but they will turn in an instant if they don't post anything 10-6 or higher. I have heard NOBODY who is in line for this rebuilding, and claims this team will just suck. Then in a couple years we will end up going 12-4 or 13-3 again and they'll all come crawling back.

The Steelers have quite a few, but they are nowhere near as bad as the Bengals I think their band wagoners out number their real fans.

Oh a Dallas fan calling Steeler fans bandwagon? And umm... why would there be a Cowboy fan in PA anywhere? I mean, you have the Steelers and the Eagles in that state and I'm pretty sure they both hate Dallas! Just bustin your chops dude. Like who you want.
