I'll always hold a special place in my heart for Kelly Bundy.
Seriously, I hope Christina recovers gracefully from this experience.

Good for her. And I hear she's getting breast reconstruction surgery...

I just read that earlier. Glad to hear 1) she's positive about the whole situation and 2) she's recovering.

I love her. When I first heard about her cancer, I downloaded probably my all time favorite movie: Don't Tell Mom the Baby-sitter's Dead. I love her in it, I don't think it'd be half as enjoyable if it wasn't for her.

R.I.P. exquisite breasts. (Props for who gets the reference.) This sucks for her. I'm sure her career and possibly even her sex life has gone down the tubes. YEAH! Can't have sex if you don't have boobs!

I don't know a lot about breast cancer, but can women who get their breasts removed get breast implants?

I don't know a lot about breast cancer, but can women who get their breasts removed get breast implants? Yes. Im glad she's remaining positive. It is a drastic solution but preferable to the worst case scenario. I hope she remains this positive and wish her the best of luck.

Geezus. smurfing cancer. At least now she's healthy. But damn. I can't imagine having mine removed. that's just......wow. I don't think I'd be able to look at myself in the mirror again. My heart definitely goes out to her.

That's a shame. And now Ron Burgundy can no longer refer to her as "Tits Mcgee"

*snort* I like her. She's going to get reconstructive surgery in the coming months and says she'll have the perkiest boobs in the nursing home in years to come.

Double mastectomy at 36, that's tough.
And her boyfriend died not too long ago.
And that was after her divorce.

Only in her 30's, and she has to do that. At least my grandmother was already an old woman when she came down with breast cancer. That's just terrible. But as long as she recovers, you do what you have to do. Yes. It always saddens me to hear a woman have to undergo this treatment. You'd think, as a "technologically advanced" society, we'd be above mutilation as a solution to a disease. Ditto goes for men who have testicles removed for the same reason. I heard she will undergo reconstructive surgery, which I wish her the best of luck on. From reports, she remains upbeat, which is a testament to her mental fortitude.

Last I heard they were non-cancerous tumors...
Damn.
As for reconstruction, it is possible, as they remove the breast tissue, which is the specialized fat tissue and the mammary glands. The pectoral tissue should be fine.
