I don't get why people just don't eat what they want and keep it to themselves. This. I think George Carlin or Lewis Black would say the same thing.

Because obviously, no vegetarians are ever self-righteous.

Anyone ever eat Boca burgers? They're pretty good really, it's like vegetables that taste like beef almost. You lost me at almost.

My problem with vegans/vegetarians is I often have to feed them, and like one guy in the group you either have to make exceptions for, or make it all vegan friendly(which I usually do, because the meat eaters will make the accommodation for them).
The vegans/vegetarians I respect are the ones who say "I don't like meat products, so I don't eat them". That is great. But I have also met many who want every one to feel bad for their choices, and screw them, I can hear the carrots cry you hypocrites!

I just can't stand the preachy vegetarians that still eat tofu burgers and hot dogs "Well I'm morally against eating meat but I'll eat something thats supposed to look and taste like meat because it's just so damn delicious"....you made your choice See that doesn't make sense to me. It's just food, and no animals died in the making of it. I'm not against eating meat because of the taste or the look. I'm against it because it's made from dead animal. Just because those foods are designed to look and taste like meat? Guess what? They're still not meat, and that's what counts. They're just like any other food, really.

I don't care what anyone eats, so long they're not trying to make Soylent Green outta me.

O.K. then Dude, what is some really excellent chef created the world's greatest vegetarian meal (and I mean something so delicious the smell itself drives people mental), but, decorated it to look exactly like a suckling pig? Would you try it?

All I have to add is that all afternoon long I've been watching the Travel Channel's food based programs. (BBQ Paradise, Ultimate McDonalds, Donut Crazy, Best Places To Pig-Out) If I don't get something in me soon, I'm going to find the first person I see on the streets and eat them.

Go for the shortest person you can see, the meats generally more tender. Or so I've experienced been told heard whilst being utterly appalled at things mankind can do.

I'm here. Nice to meet you! ;D We're not carnivores or herbavores. People are omnivores. If not for the recent discussion about the rolling eyes smiley, would you have sicked it on me?

I have a t-shirt that says "I Love Animals - They Taste Great!" but I only wear it because I think it's funny, not because I'm an uber-zealous meat-eater.

Here's the reason why veggies/vegans are more self righteous: There are about 100 animal rights groups. Most notably PETA but there are no pro meat eating groups. And I've never heard of meat eating people blowing up a Del Monte plant.

I don't mind vegetarians at all. If that's what they want to do, go for it. It's their choice to not eat meat, just like it's my choice to eat it.
But I've had instances where vegetarians have come up to me in restaurants for whatever reason and basically chewed me out for eating meat products. It's happened 3 times.
Seriously, if people do that to me, I won't react "friendly" or in an "understanding" fashion.

I never say anything in a smart ass way. I know it's tough to know because forums don't have a "tone of voice". That's why I use a lot of and because I want people to know I'm just trying to friendly rib them a little bit, not that I'm actually trying to go off like a jerk.
