This was probably the 2nd or 3rd video game I ever played. It was hard but it sure was cool (to me).
And that was a fun review.

I laughed so hard at that. My favorite part. Easily one of the best vids he's ever done.

Final Fight did that too (Friendly fire). I was playing it with my nephiew and it was irritating Well, friendly fire was in a good bit of games from those times. Some of them, you could even turn it off. It's just Battletoads was insanely difficult to have it on. For instance, in Turtles in Time there were ramps you had to jump and crap but there were two sets in 2P mode. Plus, a lot of those games like Final Fight had decent enough room and level set ups that you could get away with just playing top and bottom (or on occassion left and right). And I mean, games like Halo have friendly fire as well. It's just you've got infinite continues and crap, in case the guy you're playing with is a complete butthole and likes to melee you from behind to get the sniper... and you get tired of it and start throwing plasma grenades on his butt.

By far the best one in awhile. Makes up for the whole 'fan review' one.

he mentions that you only play as two of the three toads. in the Gameboy version, you play as that third Toad.

Boy if he thought the 3rd Bike Stage was tough, just wait till the 5th Snake Stage... good lord. I think there was two snake stages. The first one was miserable but the second one is where I threw my hands up and said "okay where's that game genie? Im just going to skip and go kick that leather wearin bitches ass" As a matter of fact I got the NES game genie for Christmas 90 and this was the first game I used it on. The antimosity for this game was brewing for awhile so I reveled in cheating it. Then I used my code system on Mega Man 3 which I can beat without codes of any kind today. That's how I gauge difficulties in games. I sucked at nearly all the NES and SNES games without cheat codes back when I was 10. I waited 10 years went back and tried them again and beat most of them. Some of them I still can't complete without codes. The ones at the top of the list are. Zelda 2 Battletoads Final Fantasy

He really needs to review more two player games. This stuff is pure gold. Indeed. Growing up with three brothers, 2 player was a huge part of growing up. Battletoads, god, we accidentally killed each other so many times. And some times it was pretty damn deliberate.

Did Kyle also play Spider-Man in the Spider-Man review? It sounds like him.

Here's a sight where you can play Battle Toads along with a bunch of other NES games. www.1980-games.comThe repelling level was easy but I can't get past those flying fist things on the speederbike level. I forget what they are called but there are cats or squirrels or something that ride missles and drop cement barricades in your path. Hows that for creative characters?

Remember when the 3 member of the Battletoads was in the WWE? Oh and it would be a proper post by me without this... ahhhhhhh yeah.
