Oh...no, that's not what I meant. I meant, like, scrap it after the show, and have Adamle come up with something ELSE next week. Like, call an audible or something. I probably shouldn't have said IMMEDIATELY then, LOL.

I just thought of the absurdity of this thread title. What is WWE supposed to do now? Have Adamle walk out next Monday and say "Remember that title match we booked last week. Well we recieved a petition from the wrestlecrap forums asking us not to do it. So instead we're just gonna have a Jericho/Punk rematch instead." WWE doesn't do what they advertised! There's no way they can build Jericho/Punk properly in that amount of time.. Rawr Rawr Rawr. Or something like that.

my only wish is that cena makes jbl tap while punk gets the 3 count on jericho both at the same time at 19:59
then adamle says the other guys must leave so punk and cena can have overtime. then orton cost cena the match.
of course this is my evil plan to keep the strap on punk

Viewers were confused, yet interested. How has this reply been no-sold so far? I laughed for like five minutes! Also! I just realized we're all arguing about the wrong thing. The real question is... does CM Punk have to be pinned to lose the championship? Can Cena pin Kane and pickup the World Title? ~Kyle

Well, I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but my initial problem with this whole idea is that it HAS indeed been done before. I know it has. It was called a "Time Limit Title" match, and has been on deveral of the Smackdown video games, and it actually took place at Wrestlemania 2000 in the hardcore championship match where everyone was trying to get a pin (incidentally, this was the match in which Tazz tried to pin someone, even though he was the current champion).
It may be a silly complaint from me, but I don't care for the notion of this concept being 'new' and/or an 'Adamle Original'

Any title change during the match will not, the only one that counts will be the person who holds the belt going into the match, and who holds the belt after time is up. I don't care what they said on TV the fact it was clarified as such on wwe.com proves what people were saying since yesterday. So that sorta destroys most of the "petitioners'" argument

why does it matter who technically had a title reign for like five seconds or not? the reign might as well not happen even if it is counted (which, is still to be debated since adamle screwed the announcement up and contradicted himself like four times). does it really matter if someone technically makes it into the wwe.com title history page or not? it seems to me that people are just getting bent outta shape for no real reason.

The description of the match is just as confusing as when it left Adamle's mouth.

I haven't read through the entire thread yet, but it seems to me that the very same people who complain about RAW 5 minutes after it's over (see: Tag Title change, Tag Title Switchback, ______ is boring and stale, smurf you WWE) are the ones complaining about the title losing it's 'value'. I for one don't pay attention to the title's 'value' because it's a fake sport. If it was something legit like the World Series being a one day event with the team that wins their game at the closest point until Midnight is the World Series Championship winner, then I'd see the argument. But in wrestling, we've seen Vince McMahon as champion. We've lived through the heartbreak of HHH apparently burying the entire roster. And let's not forget when the Great Khali won the title. God Forbid the biggest man in a battle royal win it. But now... now, just because a match with a stipulation that MIGHT allow multiple title changes to occur, that MIGHT not even end up with ANY title changes at all, and which MIGHT be a fun match, is made.... people get up in arms and want to start a PETITION? If this is actually made, I would love to read it. I'd even sign as a joke. Once someone from WWE sees it, they'll print it out, take it to their buddy's office, and laugh. Then they'll post it on the bulletin board at work, so when the office workers, as well as bookers and Vince himself go to the water cooler they can have a nice laugh. Because that's all they'd do, you know? Why can't people just sit back and enjoy the show for once? I knew that once it was announced that I'd see a thread that'd go over the top to make last week's "Smurf WWE, RAW was Atrocious" thread. And every week I am never let down. Now to reply to the actual topic at hand without tongue in cheek remarks, I like this idea, and I see the point in having those competitors in it. I also see why it's a crazy idea, since it's from Adamle and whatnot. I am looking forward to seeing how it plays out, and until then I hope they continue to build this up as CM Punk having the fight of his life to stay champion. -metylerca

does it really matter if someone technically makes it into the wwe.com title history page or not? it seems to me that people are just getting bent outta shape for no real reason. Exactly. If they had a scramble NFL game with 5 teams, and whenever a team scored a touchdown, they were the new SuperBowl champion. That would be stupid. A guy being scripted to win a fake belt, isn't the end of the world.

Am I the only one who noticed that it was said that the person who was LAST to hold the title would become the OFFICIAL Champ? I doubt the changes in the match would be considered title reigns officially then
*edit* Nope, I'm not.. but the good posts seem to have been lost in the sea of 'z0mg, title will be disgraced/worthless!'

I think its a good idea that can have alot of potential. The match alone can create countless feuds and jumpstart some new feuds and can potentially get Punk even more over than he is now.
