This makes me sad, because it spells the end of Lucha Haas.

I really hope this leads to a new gimmick of mocking others

Next week, it's Charkie James. People are gonna be thankful Mickie isn't wearing skirts anymore. I don't know why they'd single Haas out for this gimmick unless they were planning on giving him something to work with again. Which is a good thing.

The bite of the apple in the interview corner screen followed by him chewing for about 15 seconds, just nodding and chewing, nodding and chewing...was hilarious to me.

They should just give Charlie Haas a full time gimmick of just ripping on Carlito. Even have him redo Carlito's original vignette's. Have him feud with Primo for a while, and then one day Carlito does a run in and just starts wailing on Haas, leading to a feud between the two. Silly as it might be, the eventual run in with Carlito would probably get a pretty good pop.
And think about it, it would actually be a pretty decent feud. Carlito could just get so damn annoyed and 'lose his cool', all the while if Charlito kept up the act it would frustrate him even more. Silly, but I could see it getting over as a short mid-card feud, for two talented guys who otherwise aren't doing anything.
As funny as it would be to impersonate someone different each week, it would ultimately go nowhere. At least the Carlito feud could possibly get Charlie, Primo and Carlito over if it was done well.
Mind you I would still pee myself laughing if The Great Kahli's music started up, only for The Great Charli in a pair of black pants and prosthetic chin walked to the ring Kahli style.

Can anyone provide this sorry sap with a vid link? I've been working so much, I haven't seen wrestling for a good month now. The idea of Haas mimicking Carlito tickles me pink.

Didn't Big Show basically do that for a little while a few years ago? I remember him doing an impression of DDP during his "That's not a bad thing, that's a good thing" gimmick, complete with the blond hair and the fake teeth. Yeah, he also did Rikishi and the infamous "Showster". But they were nowhere as awesome as "Shownan the Barbarian"

It's amazing how doing mimicry can sorta make someone interesting again. Then again I always liked Charlie Haas and thus found this hilarious. Honestly, I though the whole gimmick of him donning a lucha mask and wrestling a different style had potential. I wish they had done more with it. I loved the Lucha Haas stuff, but when they had him do it on RAW that one week and it got about as good of a reaction as Rob Conway, they killed it.

Actually it seemed pretty desperate and low brow to me.
Funny what entertains the smarks these days though eh?

Casting my vote to say I loved it and hope he keeps up mimicking others while incorporating his name. I'd be endlessly amused.

Next week, it's Charkie James. No need to thank me for the mental images that picture might produce.
