foley. the bloke's damn near a saint.
also, john cena. treats fans as if he should be privelaged to be meeting them, not the other way round. throw in all his charity and PR stuff, he's a legend.
MVP for turning his life around. i defy anyone to read his life story and not wanna root for him.
giant bernard was the nicest person i've ever met. much like big show and mark henry, the guy could crush you if he wanted, but you know he never would.

Maybe a lot of these people are tweeners in real life?

heel Edge.....he stole Matt Hardy's girlfriend Heel Matt Hardy! I was completely on his side until he called into Byte This! and made a complete ass/criminal of himself. And no way is Trips a face in real life. Of course, I'd never say that to his face; 'cause he's absolutely Terra Ryzin...

Ironically, most big men, especially the monster heels, tend to be quite nice people. It's like a reverse Napoleon complex I guess.

They're pricks because they're rich and famous and it comes with the territory. The "nice" ones probably don't make enough money.

Handsome Jimmy Valiant is a great guy. He took time out to do pics with me and my gf, and we relived some memories of Mid South Wrestling.
Jerry Lawler was cool back in the day. We had a great "4:20" time at a party ( he was friends with my uncle).
However, Brian Christopher is a prick, as was Jeff Jarrett. Bill Dundee would make you feel like you've been his best friend for years. Jamie Dundee is OK, but very annoying when he's drunk!
I met Rocky Johnson back in the late 80's, and there was a skinny looking kid with him about my age. I still wonder if that was The Rock...

I was just wondering, how many people, when judging whether someone is a real-life face/heel, think about the possibility that it is their own attitude and behaviour when approaching the wrestlers, that result in whatever reaction they get? "OH MA GAWD IT'S THE UNDA-TAKER!! JED, GET NEXT TO BIG OLD ZOMBIE MAN AND GET A POLAROID!!! JUST PUSH HIS CRAB PLATE OFF THE TABLE AND SIT'ER DOWN. HEY UNDER, DROP THAT FORK REAL QUICK SO I CAN SNAP THIS HERE PIC-A-TURE!!!" Yeah, how can wrestlers NOT love that. Back on topic, I've taken my 10 year old brother to meet a few wrestlers and the nicest guy we've ever met had to be Joey Mercury. We went and met all of MNM, and Mercury went out of his way to talk to my brother (what's your name, what grade are you in, who's your favorite wrestler, etc.) Christian Cage and Samoa Joe were the same way when my brother met them. Batista was a bag of dicks when we met him. Also, the Dudleys made my brother cry. He asked them to sign the back of an 8X10 of A.J. Styles (who was admittedly in an uber-gay pose) and the Dudleys started making fun of the picture and passing it around. My brother's a very emotional kid, and he started crying because he thought that they were laughing at him. Thus, my disdain for the Dudleys. Did you make a thread about that Dudley story a long while back? This story sounds familiar to me.

Heres a couple of wrestlers who were nice to me when I've met them - MVP x4, Jesse, Festus, Big Daddy V, Santino Marella x2, Cody Rhodes x3, DH Smith x2, Jeff Hardy, Edge x2, Chavo Guerrero, Beth Phoenix x3, William Regal x2, Natalya, Maria, Candice Michelle, Mr. Kennedy x2, Gregory Helms, Rey Mysterio, Mick Foley, Jillian, Theodore Long, Finlay x3, Hornswoggle, John Morrison x2, Matt Striker, Lilian Garcia, Tony Chimel, Chad Patton, Mike Choida, Marty Alias, Jimmy Korderas, Lance Cade, Chris Jericho, Layla, Kelly Kelly, Triple H Probably some others I'm forgetting, heres a list of the people who were not nice at the times I met them: Michelle McCool, CM Punk (I've met him twice, he was a dick the first time but he was awesome the second.), Undertaker, Randy Orton (Met him twice, didn't want to approach him as he turned down alot of fans), Brian Kendrick, Hardcore Holly and Carlito. whoa whoa whoa wait a second here . . . you met THE Brian Kendrick? sorry... couldn't resist

Alright, well I attend like 15 or so WWE events a year and stay in the same hotels as the talent, meet a bunch at the airport etc. so I've met close to if not more than 100 or so of them and based on frequency I can say who're faces IRL and who're heels.
The nicest I've ever met is Molly Holly, this woman is too nice for this world really
Second nicest would be Rico, this guy goes out to meet fans either before or after every show no matter where the venue. He came out during a blizzard with 3 feet of snow to see fans before a show. And he even broke Kayfabe following a Raw where kane beat him up to come out and see fans because he had to go through hours of make-up before the show and couldn't come out to see the fans before.
Third nicest is Ron Killings, this guy is the most people friendly guy in the WWE right now. He treats all his fans like they're his friends, and is never ever rude or arrogant even when heckled.
Other exceptionally nice wrestlers IMHO:
Ron Simmons: I asked him for advice and he spent over an hour talking to me and telling me what to do, he remembers me and my friends at every show we go to, he always invites us to hang out with him etc.
Melina: This girl signed for everyone and was very polite and funny even as a heel on tv.
Brain Kendrick: I asked him for advice on making it to the WWE and the guy took close to half an hour to explain to me how to go about getting the fed's attention etc.
Edge: total class act
Ken Kennedy: Was mobbed along with several other superstars by about 200 or so fans in Wilkes-Barre, PA and was the only one who signed for everyone. I also hung out with him for over an hour 1 on 1 outside of a hotel in Buffalo.
Chris Jericho: I wrote a preview for one of his concerts and presented him with the article, he requested to meet me in person and thank me for it, another class act.
Elijah Burke: Remembered my emails I sent him, and about this message board, left and came back because I didn't get a pic with him.
Others that are nice: Carlito, Cryme Tyme, Piper, Paul Birchill, Matt Hardy, Kozlov, The Miz, Armando, Umaga, Vince, Drew McIntyre, Finlay, Khali
Now onto the heels
Biggest heel is by far Dean Malenko, he is always a jerk, never signs for more than 1 or 2 fans, and did something personally dispickable to my friend. He had a photo of the Radicalz signed by Saturn, Benoit, and Eddie, all he was missing was Malenko, he asked Dean to sign it and he did, but when he looked at it, he saw that Dean didn't sign his name he instead signed "f***ing mark!"
Second biggest heel is CM Punk, he's always bothered by anyone who approaches him and is very much on a high horse. He is somewhat nicer if you tell him you're straight-edged too, but over-all the biggest jerk on the roster.
Daivari was also a jerk too.
The tweeners are a couple:
Finlay: as a heel he will act that way outside the ring, as a face he will act like the nicest guy on the planet
Randy Orton: The guy is always super nice with us, and we hung out with him for a whole night after a show in Buffalo, we shot videos with him and everything. I've seen him do jerkish things but it's just to have a laugh or too, he's not a mean guy at heart, just a prankster who enjoys a good laugh.
Shawn Michaels: Overall very sarcastic, but he's got a heart of gold, just sometimes he blows people off very harshly. He blew up at my friend in Boston for bringing up Montreal, and I actually calmed him down and got him to apologize.
Batista: The guy was super nice the 2 times I've met him, but everyone tells these horror stories. I get the impression people provoke him, because all the incidents I've heard have the fan antagonizing him.
Maryse: This girl proudly snubbed a ton of fans, until I spoke to her in french, she stopped dead in her tracks and said "you, I like" and I told her to lighten up a little , and she signed for everyone.
Paul London: He's a lot nicer on tv, I really expected him to be nicer than Kendrick.
Snitsky: it's 50/50 with him, but 1 on 1 he's nice, not very good with crowds.
William Regal: Was a douche back in 2004, very humble and nice in 2008.
As for the comment on John Morrison I'll say this, I've never met the guy personally, but he did something that qualifies him as a cool guy in my book. A little kid, probably about 8 or 9 asked for an autograph, the crowd jokingly told him "don't do it, be a heel", so he took the photo took out a sharpie and proceeded to rip the photo in the kid's face as the crowd cheered. He then went into his bag and pulled out a fresh new copy of the same promo pic and signed it and gave it to the kid. I don't know about you folks, but this guy's great if you ask me.

I know jake roberts is an awesome guy to meet, he was so cool to me when i met him, but then again i spent 40 bucks on his merch. i just recently met festus, that guy seemed like he didnt want to be there, he only took pictures with kids and signed for them, he signed my ticket but when my friend went to ask him to sign his he totally burned him and walked away. jesse went to the other end of the parking lot from me and tried his hardest to sign for everyone he could, but then festus honked the horn, and was acting like he really wanted to go.
