Nah, I figured the original Cell would rank higher and apparently it did.

And we're down to two. Two very different matches. One brutal and bloody, another a technical masterpiece that put Undertaker back on the map after a rather lengthy downtime. So which will take it, which has been deemed the best match of Taker's career by WC? The runner up is...... #2Total Points: 155World Heavyweight Championship: Kurt Angle(c) vs. The Undertaker - No Way Out 2006Part 1Part 2

I had the top five, but in the wrong order. I knew my last two slots would not match up, but went ahead and voted for them because I love those matches and figured few others would vote for them.
1. v. Shawn Michaels (Badd Blood, 1997) (#1) 2. v. Mankind (King of the Ring, 1998) (#3) 3. v. Brock Lesnar (No Mercy, 2002) (#5) 4. v. Jeff Hardy (Raw, 2002) (#4) 5. v. Kurt Angle (No Way Out 2006) (#2) 6. v. Edge: SummerSlam, 2008 (# 11) 7. v. Steve Austin: SummerSlam, 1998 (#14) 8. v. Ric Flair: WrestleMania X8, 2002 (#12) 9. v. Steve Austin: A Cold Day In Hell, 1997 (#55) 10. v. Bret Hart: One Night Only, 1997 (#31)

1. Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels - Hell In A Cell - Bad Blood 1997 (1) 2. Undertaker vs. Mankind - Boiler Room Brawl - Summerslam 1996 (9) 3. Undertaker vs. Kane - Wrestlemania 14 (17) 4. Undertaker vs. Mankind - Hell In A Cell - King of the Ring 1998 (3) 5. Undertaker vs. Bret Hart - WWF Championship Match - Summerslam 1997 (6) 6. Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels - Casket Match - Royal Rumble 1998 (28) 7. Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle - WWE Championship - No Way Out 2006 (2) 8. Undertaker vs. HHH - Wrestlemania 17 (8) 9. Undertaker vs. Kane - Inferno Match - Unforgiven 1998 (18) 10. Undertaker vs. Edge - Hell In A Cell - Summerslam 2008 (11)
I am glad that the first Hell in a Cell Match won. Not only was it a great match, it began probably the best storyline the Undertaker ever had (Kane Appears).

Great list, which I basically agree with. Taker has had an amazing career.
That being said, any clue who is next? Austin's countdown would be much more diverse.

My #1 came 2nd and my #2 came 1st, no complaints here. I'm actually suprised that Angle match (best Taker match by far IMO, and even one of Angle's best) did as well as it did, really. Here was my overall list. 1. Vs. Kurt Angle (World Heavyweight Championship, No Way Out 2006) 2. Vs. Shawn Michaels (Hell in a Cell, Badd Blood: IYH 1997) 3. Vs. Brock Lesnar (WWE Championship Hell in a Cell, No Mercy 2002) 4. Vs. Ric Flair (No Disqualification Match, Wrestlemania X8) 5. Vs. Edge (Hell in a Cell, Summerslam 2008) 6. Vs. Triple H (No Holds Barred Match, Wrestlemania X7) 7. Vs. Mankind (Hell in a Cell, King of the Ring 1998) 8. Vs. Batista (World Heavyweight Championship, Wrestlemania XXIII) 9. Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (WWE Championship, Summerslam 1998) 10. Vs. Bret Hart (WWE Championship, Summerslam 1997) Kudos once again man, this was definitely my favourite list so far.

That is a damn good list, a wide array of opponents and match types. Truly shows how versatile Undertaker can be. I had started to become bored by him recently but this has reinstored my faith.
Only two of my matches didnt make it.
1. vs Mankind, King of The Ring 1998 2. vs Shawn Michaels, Bad Blood 1997 3. vs Mankind, Summerslam 1996 4. vs Bret Hart, Summerslam 1997 5. vs Steve Austin, Fully Loaded 1999 6. vs Rock vs Angle, Vengeance 2002 7. vs Brock Lesnar, No Mercy 2002 8. vs Kane, Wrestlemania 14 9. vs Ric Flair, Wrestlemania 18 10. vs Rob Van Dam, Vengeance 2001

Major, major thanks to everyone who voted this time. It was by far the biggest turnout of the first three lists I've done. Hopefully the next one gets ever more people.
Few interesting notes from my side of things:
-Up until the last few lists I received which shook things up, all three of Taker's matches with Edge were not only back to back to back, but all in chronological order. Stayed that way for a good while too!
-You may remember earlier in the week I referenced "a match that I think a lot of people are forgetting". That was the Angle/Taker match from No Way Out that placed second here. After the first list I got, it was quite a while before anyone else ever had it on one of their lists. I wasn't sure if I thought a lot more highly of that match than others or if people just forgot it because it happened in a really forgettable period, but it was getting left out. It wasn't until the third or fourth wave of lists that it started appearing. Interesting point, I believe it ended up appearing on less than 1/2 the ballots, but it got so much 1st and 2nd place love from those who did include it that it managed to snag second.
-The HBK HITC was never in doubt to be #1. It got ahead early and was only challenged at one point by the Mankind Cell match. Which I'll add I was surprised to see this high. On Foley's list sure, but not on Taker's. That match is at best 80% about Foley and the abuse he takes and 20% about Taker and him being the other guy who happened to be there.
-The Triple H match and Hart match both fought over the #2 spot early on before sliding down to their respective places.
-The Hart title match and Batista title match were nearly deadlocked through the entire voting process. They were within one point of each other trading spots for a long time. Even in the end they only finished separated by 3 points.
Next list voting thread will be up tomorrow around noon or 1! See you then.

10. vs. Kane, Inferno Match, Unforgiven 1998 (18th) 9. vs. Brock Lesnar, HIAC, No Mercy 2002 (5th) 8. vs. Mankind, Revenge of the Taker, 1997 (22nd) 7. vs. HBK, Ground Zero, 1997 (32nd) 6. vs. Bret Hart, Summerslam 1997 (6th, hehe, the same) 5. vs. Kurt Angle, No Way Out 2006 (2nd) 4. vs. Batista, Wrestlemania 23 (7th) 3. Royal Rumble 2007 (20th) 2. vs. Mankind, HIAC, KOTR 1998 (3rd) 1. vs. Shawn Michaels, HIAC, Badd Blood 1997 (1st, never in doubt)
Facts and Figures: - 8 matches made the top 20 - 6 were in the top 7 - 5 were title matches - 2 had title implications (HIAC with HBK was #1 contendership, and 2007 RR was Wrestlemania title shot) - Average placing of my results: 11.6 - Approximate running time of matches (not including entrances or post match): 285 minutes (or 4 hours and 45 minutes), and yes I did figure the whole RT of the Rumble - Awesome set list
