You can play on a console. But gaming only happens on PCs. You may say that, but someone else could say gaming only happens on table tops with DMs and such things. Different strokes for different folks, my friend. Also, Triple H would like a word with him.

I'm not an hardcore gamer. Lately not even a softcore one. Honestly, I haven't been playing much for years now. That's the reason I pick PC gaming. PC games can be modded and modified without the need of physically altering the hardware or of burning another copy of the game. It's just a matter of downloading the desired add-on and putting it into the right directory. Moreso, I can play while chatting/surfing in the background, so I can still be multitasking Sure, a decent video adapter is as expensive as a current gen console, and its lifetime is shorter, but I'm not a graphic freak I can totally play a new game @ 800*600 without feeling less of a man for that. And soccer management (and other management games) and adventures are impossible to play on a console, so it's PC all the way for me.

Console gaming, because from a gameplay stand point only FPS and RTS games play better on PCs, and even then I'm more use to the console controls for FPS and RTS titles.

PC born PC bred and some day I'll be PC dead. Or Vista will explode my computer whatever comes first.

Oh, I just thought of the one true gaming advantage PCs have over consoles. They legally can have adult-rated games.
What I would do without my eroges from Japan, I don't know.

I never play RTS games on a console but i agree that FPS games have good control schemes on consoles. PC are better though, But i also like Console.

I play both and like them for what they both are.
I must be a freak of nature.

The big problem with PC gaming is that you can have specs that blow a game's requirements out of the water and have everything be fully updated and patched, and still not have the game run properly. So many times I've purchased a game that SHOULD run well on my PC but it doesn't, and so many times I've spent hours and hours searching for tech support and trying all kinds of tweaks and fixes only to get no result.
PC gaming is frustrating. I never know if the game is going to work as well as it should or if it's magically going to decide it doesn't like my PC.

I prefer consoles. There's just something about holding a controller that beats a keyboard/mouse/joystick. (Plus, I hate the way basketball games handle on a PC.)

Console for me. Stick the game in and play it. I have a mate who`s right into his PC stuff and is always trying to fix problems with it or buying new stuff for it. I cannot be arsed with that at all.
Maybe if money wasn`t really an object and I had someone there willing to deal with any technical issues then I would do most of my gaming on the PC, but it aint going to happen anytime soon so I don`t see my take on gaming changing either.

I play both and like them for what they both are. I must be a freak of nature. I do love PC gaming. But I can get a lot of games on my Ps3/Wii combo just for the price of getting a PC gaming rig running.

Consoles for me.I cant afford a top of the range pc and as i know nothing about how to upgrade games for it,a nice simple easy console is just the ticket for me.I have nothing against PC gamers but some of them have a completley arrogant and snobbish attitude,on forums on gaming, they often claim consoles to be toys or babys game systems, even though a majority of the games on them are far more fun and enjoyable then anything on pc.The only games i have played on a PC are soccer management titles.
