I think it's quite admirable of Clay to come out, since the reason he's doing so is because he doesn't want to raise his child to be a person who "lies or hides things." Nothing but respect for the man. So ironically he's bringing the kid up to be the opposite of himself.

Nothing but respect for the man. So ironically he's bringing the kid up to be the opposite of himself. I think that statement is a bit unfair. Maybe he's come to realize the error of his ways in hiding this secret for so long and came to the conclusion that he had to do the mature thing and come out of the closet so that he could then, as a parent, hold his child to the same standard of truth that he now holds himself. You know, so his child doesn't make the same mistakes. He realized that it was wrong to hide who he was, and I don't begrudge him wanting to set an example for his child. Either way, I imagine this was very difficult for him to do because of the scrutiny he's been under for years due to the question his sexuality. I wonder if the gay community will accept him openly, or if he'll be rejected for having avoided the topic for so long. Regardless, I commend the guy.

And water is wet. Honestly, I'm shocked that Lindsay Lohan coming out on Loveline didn't get a topic here first.

I'm shocked. I just found out that water is wet and the sky is blue But it was pretty clear about Clay though. Good for him for finally coming out.

About f'n time. It's 2008 I'm pretty sure that the house wives that love your dreadful music don't care that you're gay.

Actually, one rumour as to why he stayed IN the closet for so smurfing long is because a group of those housewives were planning a lawsuit if he did turn out to be gay... something about misrepresentation... false-advertising... something really desperate and stupid. OK i am a HUGE Clay fan and I wanted to disbelieve the rumors SO BAD and now that I know he really is gay..i find him even hotter than before! i am happy for him and his little son and I am still a Claymate always will be!! You would get along with my wife

And water is wet. Honestly, I'm shocked that Lindsay Lohan coming out on Loveline didn't get a topic here first. I wouldn't think that finally proclaiming yourself to be a slut. Which was more evident than Clay's sexuality. Wait? She's gay? Well... crap. Here's to hoping the next potential lesbian next role model doesn't like the nose candy (Or the booze. Or the penis) as much as Lohan. As for Clay... um, to my knowledge the woman was older, a lifetime career type, and was his best friend. So I can understand it, especially since he is going to be a part of the kid's life. And... um... does it matter? I mean, pithy jokes aside, does Clay Aiken being gay really matter? He had every right to dodge all questions regarding his sexuality, or hell even lie. It's not anyone's business, aside from people he cared about.

He's done a lot of work for people with disabilities. God forbid the media focuses on that. News is about reporting incidents, not covering them up and talking about Charity Press Releases. Especially Tabloid News, which covers entertainment. I look forward to the Soup this week. Although, It's not as funny as when Lance Bass came out. That's like the most unfortunate name possible for a gay man.

LEAVE CLAY ALONE! *don't care enough to post a pic of that queerbait* Ooh, ooh, guess what? You just lost your second chance on the boards. See folks - this is what we get for giving people a second chance. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Or do. I don't care.

Personally, Sexuality shouldn't count as something to judge a person as. Yes I'll be the 55th person on this board to say that Clay coming out really isn't that shocking, but I still give him props for coming out. Sure it was obvious, but Coming out is seriously hard, Trust Me, I know Now, Hopefully he can raise his kid to be Tolerent to the world, and to all ideas. Good for Clay Now...If only a Rapper can come out of the closet... When I become famous, I promise to remember the Little People here and give them any share of my money before my [insert name of inside job] comes out for me and makes me go bankrupt cause no one likes gay rappers ;D lol

I don't care. Wait, he got banned for saying queerbait? In a derogatory, flaming, disrespectful, homophobic, insulting way? Yes. I really hope you or anyone else aren't planning on arguing this. He was already banned before, but I gave him a second chance. Within a grand total of a week and a half, he broke our rules yet again and he knew he was on a one-strike probation.

And this is news, why? Frankly, anyone who didn't know Clay Aiken was gay probably didn't know Ellen DeGeneres, Elton John, or Rock Hudson were gay. "I'm just sayin'..."

You forgot Pat Patterson, Soundwave. And Liberace too, if your're going that far back.
