My Black & Gold Steeler flag waving self is moving to Cleveland. *gulp* One of those promotion type deals, I'll be working out of an office in Middleburg Heights. I've been told Strongsville, Brunswick & Medina are nice areas.. but what should I stay away from ?
What bars can I see Steelers & Penguins games in ?
Not exactly thrilled with the prospect of moving, all my family is here in Pittsburgh. It's a good job though, promotion.. company vehicle & gas card.

I though this was going to be a thread about the new Family Guy Spin-off.
I remember eating at a Pizza Joint along the lake like 6 years ago and it was awesome.
I know that's really vague and doesn't really help much. But that's my experience with Cleveland. And I'm really trying to avoid any jokes about the Browns and Steamers. That's one of the other few things I remember from that trip I took there.

Don't go downtown wearing Steelers gear. That's a first-degree offense.
I do know that there are a few bars in the area that you're moving to that are Steeler-friendly. Don't ask me to name them, though.

Cedar Point. That's all there is to know about Ohio, other than the Indians...
Cedar Point...
Hey Moe. Is the Powerhouse (that awesome arcade at the flats) still around?

Have you talked to Benny or Hobo yet? They live near Cleveland I think.

Have you talked to Benny or Hobo yet? They live near Cleveland I think. Benny Boone, as far as I know, does not. He lives in Perrysburg, a suburb of Toledo (of course, where I am). Also: Avoid The Miz at all costs.

I live in Cincinnati, which is at the other corner of Ohio. Cleveland is like a different state to me. Don't wear your Steelers gear anywhere near it, though.

Leather Stallion Saloon, and The Grid 'n Orbit are two great Stleers bars in the Cleveland area. Also if you do plan on wearing Stleers gear you better expect to put up with a lot of BS. We Browns fans tend to be very mean, and bitter much like the Red Sox fans before they won their championship. Great party town though if you know where to look. Good Luck.

I've been to Cleveland a handful of times, and each time, I've had the same reaction: those people drive like maniacs. I have never been more scared while driving than the times I was in Cleveland... and I've driven on the D.C. Beltway both rush hour.

Comedy. I would think if anyone wore any resemblance of black and gold in Cleveland, extreme injury and/or dismemberment may be the consequence... but I guess I'm wrong. ;D

While I still live in Perrysburg, I have been in and out of Cleveland so many times for wrestling that it's almost like a second home. I can tell you that W. 25th Street is a real craphole, be careful driving through there. The Flats is a cool area to hang out, but there are bums that hang out near the entryway there. As far as suburbs go, Westlake and Lakewood are nice places to be and live if need be. I would look for a place there if you are moving there Wolfie.

The Southside should work out, if you are working in Middleburg heights. The cities you mentioned are good, Berea is good, has a major college in it if you are into that scene, Parma is good, Brookpark is good and Brooklyn is good. Middleburg Heights is also good. Just stay out of the city proper. Cleveland's demographics are complex and ever changing. For things to do, downtown and the University Circle has most of the culture, downtown has the bars, and shopping abounds.
