If this were in a time where the majority of cartoons were actually watchable, it would be a huge loss. But since it's not, meh.

It's been going on for years now. Saturday is a wasteland for the goodness of Saturday's past. That's why I'm not too bummed I work on Saturdays anymore.

Saturday mornings have sucked for ages. Good point that I totally agree with, but cartoons >>>> infomercials. Running infomercials are just the network not even caring or trying to entertain the people.

Infomercials suck.
Unless a guy with the last name Polinko is involved.

the only show I really cared about thats currently on TV is The Spectacular Spider-Man, the one I was really looking forward to Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, witch will air in January, on the CW, but for how long before they pull that too?

the only show I really cared about thats currently on TV is The Spectacular Spider-Man a fantastic show. One may even say it is.....spectacular ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) the only other new ones I liked were Krypto the Superdog, The Batman and Legion of Superheroes, (I'd make it a habit to wake up my all my college roomates to watch with me ;D) but now that those shows have been put to pasture, it means I get to wake up late on Saturday and just wait for the youtube to show me spidey.

I think there's some rose-colored glasses playing into some reactions, here.
Even back in the 80s and 90s, cartoons were still pretty much nothing but advertisements for toy lines.
Jem was OK, though. More than OK. Truly Outrageous, in fact.

I think it's time for TNA to start working on that third hour. I'm not joking. Weekend morning wrestling > infomercials. Even if "Dok Hendrix" really is just in the studio to pimp and shill.

I yearn for the days of tiny toons, x-men, batman, Eek the Cat, Bobby's world, Power Rangers, and Tazmania.

Fox cartoons was already cracking at the seems. They sold all there shows to Disney. And tried to replace it with 4kids. Now 4kids have ditched them. Meh it will probably be back someday. With the economy in recession. I wonder how many people can still afford cable.
