Shit, I remember that match and what a stupid ending. Funny but highly stupid.

It wasn't that bad, I thought it was pretty cool really It was kind of funny, but Kurusawa sold it horribly. I don't think a Disco Ball to the back would hurt enough to leave one incapacitated for any great length of time either.

I've seen worse.
I can't remember where or when exactly, but I'm sure I have...
OK, I've not.

Just the sheer oddness of that finish makes it awesome

As a guy who got hit in the back with a disco ball before, lemme tell you that it ain't no day at the beach.

I have no memory of that. I think it's hard to beat the ending of the Hogan/Vader four-corner strap match, which saw Hogan defeating Vader by pinning Flair. Remember, you win a strap-match by touching all four corner is succession while dragging your opponent. Hogan beat Vader in this match by pinning Ric Flair!

Haven't clicked the link, but I remember this match and its awfulness. Perhaps that's good, as many matches come and go, but this I remember.
****
It's like in "The Waterboy." Okay, fat guy dances. Disco has enough time to grab the disco ball, hit Kirasawa, and have it raise up, and then count to three. Did the same guy who lowered the disco ball also raide the briefcase?

Would've loved to be a fly on the wall for that booking meeting.
"...and then...a giant DISCO BALL comes down! It'll be great!"
