Oh, that's not nice.
Seriously, why does the dog always have to die?

Oh, that's not nice. Seriously, why does the dog always have to die? Cause it's easy to get emotional over the death of an Animal. worked for Old Yeller, and to a lesser extent, My Dog skip. Edit: and of course:

Oh, that's not nice. Seriously, why does the dog always have to die? I was wondering the same thing. Why not have a guy die as a twist or the dog make a full recover from whatever was going to kill it? And the pic where someone climbed a billboard and did this is almost better.

Oh, that's not nice. Seriously, why does the dog always have to die? Apparently they show the dog being euthanized too. f***ed up if you ask me.

Isn't it based on a book? Why would it need to be changed from that?

Edit: and of course: That episode really gets to me...Every time... that said if this is the actual ending it sucks seems like an ending just for shock. The movie seemed like a heart warming coming together the dog and the people learn to respect each other

Ya know what...I just got home from seeing this movie. And it was actually VERY well done.
It's not often a movie catches the realism of life in general, but as a dog owner...this movie was amazing. I could hear the woman in the front row bawling her eyes out.
This is a definite must see movie. Yes, I said it...must see. It was very touching, heartwarming, & realistic.

It'll probably suck for some other movie poster that gets put up.
"Wait. There's a dog in Watchmen?"

Isn't it based on a book? Why would it need to be changed from that? Yes, its based on a book that unless you lived under a rock for a year, you would know that it was the best selling non fiction book in 2006, despite the fact that it was released in 2005. So yeah, this is why sometimes.....it kind of helps to read the book first. Anyways....looks like it is going to break box office records for Christmas weekend so it doesnt matter at this point.

I remember a period in Hollywood films were the Dog always miracously survived.
See Independence Day and Dante's Peak for examples of this.

But then again, she also wanted to see Marley & Me, which is why we went to see it. But since this initial thread was made, as moderator I must set an example instead of doing a totally seperate thread to review this film that made my wife cry. And it was WAY better then Bedtime Stories that I saw on Friday...another film my daughter picked out. The previews for that one was much better then the film...but it did have a Buzz Lightyear cameo!

WWTDD.com had coverage of this. It was a viral campaign by some advertisers.
