So with Angle/Benoit coming up short, that takes the straight wrestling match out of the equation. I think everyone paying a bit of attention knows what's coming up. Arguably, the two brightest shining moments of two of Evolution's former members. A pair of World Title matches, a pair of nail biters, and in most circles considered two of WWE's greatest matches of all time. That just leaves one thing to be asked. Which is it? Which match took a five point advantage and struggled over the finish line? Flair's big 60 minute win, or Hunter's career making brawl? HHH is waiting in the wings looking to repeat and have the first match to finish at #1 in two polls since this thing began. Did he do it? Has Hunter repeated? Well, the answer is...... YES, HE HAS!

I was hoping 1992 Rumble would win. Bobby Heenan's commentary, a great collection of talent, and Flair going over an hour. Just a great match.

Well, no need dragging it out any more. With a five point margin of victory, the first match to place #1 twice, and will later on have a chance to make it three times when Foley's list comes up. Ladies and gents, YOUR greatest match in Royal Rumble history.... #1Total Points: 243WWE Championship Street Fight: Triple H(c) vs. Cactus Jack - Royal Rumble 2000Part 1Part 2

Just to repeat what I said earlier today for those who missed it.... Well on the plus side, the draw for next week has been made. For all those of you complaining about show lists, and mediocre wrestler lists .... I think next week will make you very happy. I'll leave it at that.

My number 1 ended up as number 3, disappointed in that, but I guess it's the usual Benoit effect that understandably depresses votes for matches he is in. The 1992 Rumble was great, but I think when you look at the actual wrestling and how the story was executed you can't really say that was the best Rumble WWE has ever done. That to me has to be has to be 2008. But Flair going an hour and owning Hulk Hogan is very mark out worthy I'll give you that Also yet again Wrestlecrappers tend to give the edge to hardcore matches, which maybe shows there's still an audience for those things. Hmm. Anyway, my list in full was: 1. Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit – RR03 [#3] 2. Triple H vs. Cactus Jack (Street Fight) – RR2000 [#1] 3. Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit (Ladder) – RR01 [#4] 4. Chris Jericho vs. Rock – RR02 [#11] 5. 2008 Royal Rumble Match [#12] 6. Diesel vs. Bret Hart – RR95 [#18] 7. 2007 Royal Rumble Match [#9] 8. John Cena vs. Umaga (Last Man Standing) – RR07 [#6] 9. Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty – RR93 [#25] 10. Rock vs. Mankind (I Quit) – RR99 [#8]

Not that this is a hint at next week's list (it actually isn't, I swear) but we also still have Santino's favorite wrestler Rodney, and the current TNA Champion.
