This might be in the wrong section
I was reading the blog of one of the sign guys- because of his persistence (he goes to shows and after parties OFTEN)he is known by name to vince and the others, he has private pictures/contact details of some of the wrestlers and hangs out with them at private after parties and bars- from the looks of it all he does is work and follow the WWE-
Are you a fan like this? do you buy all the action figures and merchandise related to your fave wrestler?do you get upset about negative things being said about your fave wrestler? do you hang out at their hotels in hopes of getting pictures?do you spend every penny you earn following the WWE?
Ok i watch the ppvs online and i watch the shows but i do no buy the merchandise, go to signings etc

I'm a REAL true WWE fan. That means I'll watch the shows, but I'll be damned if I'm spending one dime on them.

I watch the free shows (Raw, Smackdown, ECW, and the occasional Satuday Night's Main Event)
The only PPVs I buy are Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania
I buy MANY WWE DVDs
I would consider myself a true fan.

My viewing and DVD buying habits are not exclusive to WWE only. So, no, I'm not.

I've been watching since I was 2 in 1988 and haven't stopped. First ppv was Wrestlemania 8 and I found that ppv weird because HBK was the only heel to win a match on the ppv. I never discovered WCW until 1994 but I always chose WWF over it. Monday night wars I would flip back and forth but focused more on WWF still. I've watched it through all the tasteless angles and bad gimmicks. I've only ever been to 2 WWE events ever and it was recent. I saw the limo blow up and then I saw Rumble at MSG. I love it and I'll always watch it. I own so many different DVD Documentaries because I like to know who the person is behind the character.
So yes.

I consider myself a true fan though not to the extreme that i once was. used to, i would watch every episode of wrestling no matter what. now i still try to, but it's not the highest thing on my priority list. i used to buy all the action figures but stopped when i started college 5 years ago. i do buy plenty of dvd's, but not every single one. i attend autograph sessions, but i don't lurk around in hotels trying to meet wrestlers.

absolutely not, 1999-2003 i ordered almost evry ppv and stayed up real late to watch them, i had every wwe videogame going and if i had the money and the means i would have went to every raw and smackdown show, nowadays i dont waste my time watching raw or smackdown coz there is so many superstars i dont give a crap about so i just watch what i want to watch on youtube etc

No. I have a life. Sad and pathetic in its own ways at times, but a life none the less. I hate when people use the "I have a life" term, if following the WWE is fun and which it is for me then yeah, I have a life too . We're not doing drugs or hurting anybody afterall. Sign guy maybe a bit "over the top" at times, but hes having a good time, so let him. I buy the merchandise, PPV's, watch every show and attend most of the shows I can. I've been to 1 WM and over 20 houseshows since 2004. I meet the guys in the hotel and I guess I am recognised by some of them too. I am offended when people act like we're commiting a crime by going out and meeting the guys to be honest. Do I go to the hotel? Yes. Do I storm over to them while they're having a drink with their friends? No. I wait until they're doing nothing and usually offer to buy them a drink or get a quick pic and none of the wrestlers have told me off. Not one.

If I could be super religious-like devoted to it, I would.
but I'd certainly say I am a true WWE fan. and a fan of wrestling in general.

Dude, I like wrestling too or I wouldnt be sitting here on this site. But to hunt down wrestlers to the point where they actually know your name and your spending ridiculous amounts of money on PPV's and merch and get upset when ficitional things happen to ficitional characters is pathetic. If this is your life you need to think about getting some real priorities. To quote the OP "all he does is work and follow the WWE" If thats what is required to be a "true fan" than no i am not a real fan, because my real life gets in the way of that. Friends, family, bills, school work, jobs are only 5 of the many things that comes in my life before the WWE.

Friends, family, bills, school work, jobs are only 5 of the many things that comes in my life before the WWE. Uh dude, I get most of the PPV's free over here and only buy the action figures and some shirts of my faves. Family and friends obviously come before WWE but its because of WWE that I get to go to some amazing places, I would have never went to Orlando if it wasn't for WM. I do not believe i have to get any "real priorities" if I am having a good time and enjoying myself watching and attending wrestling. Give me a break. I do not "get upset" when my favourite wrestlers lose or anything like that. It appears that you've took my sentences out of context, I have alot more things I'm interested in than WWE obviously but I am interested in wrestling the most probably the top of the interest list. I don't spend as much as Sign Guy but I do attend shows every few months and head round to the hotels to get a few pics and autos, like the hundreds of others there.

I used to buy merchandise when I was a kid, but not so much now unless I'm giving a gift.
I order Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble every year, and sometimes get the other two of the "Big Four"... Minor PPV's only when I really am interested or have some burnin' money.
I am a DVD whore. I will buy almost any WWE DVD... (actually, I'll buy almost any wrestling DVD, but they usually are WWE)

I cough up a couple hundred bucks (or more) on DVDs a year and watch most episodes of Raw, so I consider myself a true fan. However, I don't act the way the OP said though.

I think what's being missed in the context of the comments here is the term "true fan." BiggTone, if you enjoy watching wrestling, then I'd say you're a true fan. I am a Giants fan, "true blue", pardon the pun. Do I watch every game? I try to, but other things get in the way. I'd love to go to every game, but I've never been to one. The same for WWE; I go when I can, and I buy DVD's that I like, but I don't buy everything. That being said, I think I'm a true fan. I think what the OP describes is more of a "Super Mark" than a true fan.

I stay at the same hotels as wrestlers, I subscribe to WWE Magazine, I buy the big 4 PPVs, I buy the DVDs, I go to the events, I watch all three shows and SNME specials,

I'm not a true fan; in that I do not mindlessly buy every piece of crap they produce just because it has their logo on it.
