I'd rank them:
1. WWE Title/World Heavyweight Title. Normally I'd say which ever RAW had was number one but, they are putting added emphasis on Smackdown, so it's pulled even.
3. ECW Title - Got a show built around it and while not presented as an equal to the WWE/WHC it's defiantly more important than the others.
4. US Title - Really outside of OJ's reign its been the mid-card title with the most prestige.
5. IC Title - Important because of its history but, has lost some since it was retired and brought back.
6. Women's Title - May not be popular but, they really seem to push this more than they use to and have a solid division. Plus it's recent history is a lot better than the others.
7. World Tag Team Titles (RAW) - I can remember who holds the belts right now and they are in a storyline which is more than I can say for the others. Other than that, there is no real division so no point for the belts.
8. WWE Tag Team Titles (SD)- Who are the champs and what are they doing? After a strong start, they went belly up fast.
9. Diva's Title - New and not established. A lot of potential but, just not there yet.

It's still ridiculous to have 2 "world title" belts. The rest:
IC/US *ugh* tag/tag **uuuuugh** CW*HEH?* .. . . . ..
.. . . . . . . . sexy women

2-3 years ago i would have considered the womens title more worthy of either tag titles, its only recently the tag team division is picking up coz it was awful for the longest time

Belts only have the "hierarchy" that the promotion decides they have - they're fictional inventions of the company, just props. 1. World Heavyweight Title/WWE Championship 2. ECW Championship 2. Intercontinental/US Championships 3. World Tag Team/WWE Tag Team 4. Women's 5. Diva I feel like they deal with the top 2 at pretty much an equal level, interchangeably. ECW/Intercontinental/US are all pretty much the same, but they do give ECW it's own show, so it's tough to put anything over it. I agree with this. I think they'd like Women's/Diva's to be equal, but they haven't done enough with it yet. Actually, as it pertains to titles and meaning, I think this line of thinking includes confusion between issue/object and cencept. Every issue has a concept behind it and every object has a concept behind that. 99% of the time many issues have a singe principal behind it, and many principals have a single concept behind it, It's like a pyramid. Anyway, as far as the titles having no meaning, that argument could be used for anything, just like the oscar awards having no meaning and just made up objects or any other award, or even things like the statue of Liberty and a country's flag, or the cross, as being just meaningless because they're material, and it would be OK ti burn them. The only way I could make this type of arguement is if I put too much emphesis on the object, meaning, I don't understand the concept behind the object. When I destroy the object, I don't view it as destroying a concept If I'm ignorant enough to believe that there is no concept behind the object, but to a person who knows the concept behind an object, you'd be demonstrating destroying the concept as well. Now, like I said, there are very often times where issues/objects are different from each other, but they share the same concept, and someone who believes that there is no concept would just believe that they are two different objects. One object could be made as a sign of recognition of accomplishment in a real company, and another object could be made as a sign of recognition of accomplishment in a fake company. With one, the accomplishment is real, and in the other, the accomplishment is fake. They share the same concept though. You can have a real Oscar award belonging to Mel Gibson on a stand, or, you can have the sword used in the movie Braveheart where the main charactor leads his army. There would be debate as to which has more value, and that's for a reason, because they share the same concept. One represents a real accomplishment, and the other represents a fake accomplishment, but the concept that goes behind the fake accomplishment is the same concept that goes behind a real accomplishment. Mel Gibson is the only one to have won that particular award, and Mel Gibson was the only one to have held that particular sword during that legendary scene. Both objects are of equal conceptual value, despite their different principals. It's the same thing with WWE and their titles.
