So that brings us to the Top 3. With all that was going on in the World Title pictures this year it was easy forget what a hell of a year our #3 had. Started the year off relatively directionless, but by Wrestlemania he was involved in the most emotional storyline of the year. Had a brutal series against Batista, then segwayed in to one of the top feuds all year against a man yet to come in the countdown. Suffice to say, that man yet to come would not have had the year he did without this man to play off of. 20+ years and still going as strong as ever. Ladies and gentlemen, WC's third greatest WWE wrestler of 2008..... #3Total Points: 361Shawn MichaelsShawn Michaels vs. Chris JerichoNotable FeudsMr. Kennedy Ric Flair Batista Chris Jericho JBL Notable Matchesvs. Ric Flair - Wrestlemania 24 vs. Batista - Backlash vs. Chris Jericho - Great American Bash Unsanctioned Match - vs. Chris Jericho - Unforgiven World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match - vs. Chris Jericho - No Mercy ChampionshipsNone.

The leaves us with two. From the very beginning of voting on Sunday, it was apparent who WC favored as their two favorites of 2008. They both ran away with it early, and never looked back. Shawn never even got within striking range of the 2 spot. However, while their battle for #1 proved to be a dogfight early on, as the lists continued piling in it soon became apparent that this was never really a race at all. The margin grew and grew, until finally the gap between the top 2 spots was nearing 50 total points. There is no debate this year as to who you've voted as the wrestler of the year in 08. The congratulations for that man will come in a moment, but first we have to heap praise on the man finishing at runner up. He started the year off slowly, having just returned in November and worked his way back up. He continued picking up steam through out the following months until he found himself embroiled in a heated conflict with one of WWE's all time greats. As the year continued forward he tweaked his character, and without question was one of the most hated men in WWE. He did whatever it took to win, and he made winning a frequent habit. Multiple times winning a World Championship in 2008. So let's recap that. Multiple time World Champion, heated conflict with an all time great, returned last November, and was one of WWE's most hated men. Not really helping much is it? Character differences aside, these two men may as well have had mirror images of each other's year. They both reigned supreme on their respective brands, and look to be closing out the year the same way. So with no real differences to be seen, it just comes down to this. Who wins it? Is it the Psychotic WWE Champion, or the Savior of the World Heavyweight Championship? Ladies and gentlemen, coming in second place, and being voted by you as having the SECOND best year in 2008 is..... #2Total Points: 467EdgeEdge vs. Undertaker - Part 1Edge vs. Undertaker - Part 2Notable FeudsRey Mysterio The Undertaker Notable MatchesWorld Heavyweight Championship - vs. Undertaker - Wrestlemania 24 World Heavyweight Championship - vs. Undertaker - Backlash World Heavyweight Championship - vs. Undertaker - Judgment Day World Heavyweight Championship Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match - vs. Undertaker - One Night Stand Hell in a Cell Match - vs. Undertaker - Summerslam WWE Championship - vs. Triple H, Vladimir Kozlov - Survivor Series ChampionshipsWorld Heavyweight Championship (December 16th, 2007 - March 30th, 2008) (June 1st, 2008 - June 30th, 2008) WWE Championship (November 23rd, 2008 - Current)

And finally, coming in to save this countdown... There is no disputing this one. The margin of victory speaks for itself. A resounding win for the former World Heavyweight Champion. He returned last November to "Save" the WWE as he had done 8 years earlier, only this time he was not met with as much enthusiasm. Frustration continued to build within him, and even though he had reclaimed his Intercontinental Championship it wasn't enough. Frustrations boiled over on the Highlight Reel as Jericho got on the wrong side of both Shawn Michaels and Batista. The Batista issue wouldn't resurface until later in the year, but the Shawn Michaels issue persisted for the the entirety of the Summer and in to Fall. Brutal match after brutal match these two men had, destroying each other's bodies at every turn. He claims to have exposed Shawn Michaels and the fans themselves as hypocrites. Whether he's right or not is up for debate. Shawn Michaels won the battle, but he did not win the war. Since that feud he's twice become World Heavyweight Champion, defeating 5 other men in the process. Though he is no longer the Champ, at least for the moment, he remains Monday Night Raw's most hated figure. He is without a doubt, in your opinions, the top wrestler for 2008. He is .... #1Total Points: 516Chris JerichoJericho vs. Shawn Michaels - Part 1Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels - Part 2Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels - Part 3Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels - Part 4Notable FeudsJBL Shawn Michaels Batista John Cena Notable Matchesvs. Shawn Michaels - Judgment Day vs. Shawn Michaels - Great American Bash Raw Scramble Match - Unforgiven World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match - vs. Shawn Michaels - No Mercy World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage Match - vs. CM Punk - Raw, September 15th World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage Match - vs. Batista - Raw, November 3rd ChampionshipsIntercontinental Championship (March 10th, 2008 - June 29th, 2008) World Heavyweight Championship (September 7th, 2008 - October 26th, 2008), (November 3rd, 2008 - November 23rd, 2008)

what is it next week, best matches? Feuds. Funny, my guess would be Jericho (vs. HBK) and Edge (vs. Taker) run away with the top 2 spots in that one too.

List came out as I expected it too. I didn't realize that I didn't have Jericho on my list, but oh well. Always thought he was overrated to begin with.
