as opposed to Hulk Hogan's 4 year reign and politics during his initial run in the WWE and WCW?
You right, they are both draws. Only Hulk drew people to the arena and TV, Hunter has been known to draw people from the arena and TV.

Regis is over 70 and had heart surgery. What could he have possibly done ? I smell BS from Hogan. I don't know what he could have done but, he is always goofing off with the wrestlers (someone, might have been Austin, broke his nose once) when they come on Live so it doesn't seem to unlikely that he would have at least asked about being on.

So putting the title on someone who's an excellent worker, a multi-time champion, massively over, and is a member of one of the biggest stables of all time exposes the business more than Hogan's show? News to me. In particular when before this year, the last time he held the WWE or World title was in 2005. To play devil's advocate: Triple H IS Vince McMahon's son-in-law. And, the last time he held a World Title before his reign this year was at No Mercy 2007. It may have lasted only a few hours, but it still counts.

as opposed to Hulk Hogan's 4 year reign and politics during his initial run in the WWE and WCW?
How did Hogan's 4-year run expose the business? He was the biggest draw in the industry and arguably one of the most well known celebrities in America at the time. Hogan is not complaining about the length of HHH's reigns, it's more directed at the fact that H is Vince's son-in-law and Hunter seems to get the belt whenever he wants. I doubt most fans knew or cared about politics in WCW at the time. I'd imagine a greater percentage today know that H is banging Steph, which does expose the business to a certain degree. I don't see anything wrong with what Hulk said here. It is just a reality show, with the same concept that Vince had seven years ago with Tough Enough. What's Vince's beef? He's a hypocrite and blowing smoke despite the fact that CCW presents no threat whatsoever to the WWE. What's the point? As far as HHH, he's towing the company line, as always. I remember HHH was hyping Hogan huge in 2002/05 but now that he's on Vince's bad side it's a 180 turn. Straight company man, which is not surprising since he'll inherit the company soon. I don't think there's any legitimate beef between the two, though I could be wrong. Just aimless shots. Shawn being upset at Hulk for not returning a job is the dictionary definition of irony. Hogan should have gone in the ring and cried while Vince consoled him.

HHH's dislike of Hogan probably stems from the company's position on Hogan and the return job fiasco between Hogan and Shawn in 2005. HHH was always going to support his buddy in that situation.
