Kinda behind the times, but I finally saw Iron Man the other day and wow, what an awesome movie. All the characters were cool, the acting was good, the FX were awesome and was just a all around great origin story. It's probably my favorite comic book themed movie without the number 2 in the title, the others being Superman 2, Spider Man 2 and X-Men 2. What's the over/under on if Tony Stark will doubt his powers and want to give up being Iron Man in part 2? ;D

I say... 20 minutes in ;D.
The movie was glorious, I just don't how else to describe it. Growing up, Iron Man was my favorite superhero and the movie did the comics justice. The arrogance and humor of Stark, the incredible scenes with the armor, the bad ass moment when he first creates the armor and takes revenge on his captives, the amazing and joyous testing of the updated armor back at Stark Enterprises. the near flawless updating of the story, the portrayal of all the supporting characters, the much much better version of Obadiah Stane, the great fights (weakest thing for me and they were still great), the awesome references to the Mandarin, updating Yinsen, and the sheer joy the film had at times. Just epic.
Hands down, my favorite Superhero film ever.

I say... 20 minutes in ;D. I'll go with that. Then he can spend the rest of the movie in a drunken stupor. I'm all for it.

What's the over/under on if Tony Stark will doubt his powers and want to give up being Iron Man in part 2? ;D Why do they always do that? ?? I hate that!

I must be in the minority I hated the film and found it pretty boring. Compared to The Dark Knight it just came off bland and dull.

I guess I'm the only one around here that liked both movies! Nope, they were both two of my favourite movies of the year.

Everyone has different tastes. I didn't like TDK at first but have since re-watched and now love it for what it is. I will say that Iron Man is much more fun and light hearted though.

I liked Dark Knight for what it was, what I hated was the hype about it. I thought it was a 7/10 type of movie personally.

So much potential and IMO they never reached what they could've been.

I Loved X2 I didn't think X3 was as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but it wasn't great IMO.

As much as I liked TDK and spiderman I'm glad this was a bit more light-hearted.
I prefer the Iron Giant though.

Yeah, that's what I loved about Iron Man.
I'm getting sick of the whole "Comic Movie has to be DARK" mentality that's going on now.
