Hypocrisy of Adults complaining about Kid Friendly WWE Programming to the point that they end up sounding like (Thus, being) the stereotypical whining kids that they claim the WWE should stop catering towards.

I don't understand the hate on the "kid friendly" approach. WWE has an image to uphold. Especially with the tragedies over the last few years. It's called covering their behinds. Remember the good ol' days when something graphic would happen, and they would put the big red X on the screen? Less is more. Less is more. 1: what image is that? wwe has'nt had a positive image sense 1980 and even then it was still a bit adult at times. 2: i don't ever recall wwe ( at least in the region i watched ) using a big red X ever, the only thing that comes close was the dx symbol blur. 3: just a personal irk about that adage less is not more if it where it be called more and not less [/kanefused]

Not one thing about that promo went against the "kid friendly" WWE. The part where he promised a bike and failed to deliver. That was mean.

Are we allowed to say we hate kids on here? i'm not sure about the rules A wrestling fan who says that they hate kids is pretty much the pot calling the kettle black. If you're an adult and you like any form of wrestling, your inner child's still alive.

Oh FFS let's stop that crap!!!
Who said WWE have turned 100% kid friendly?
Just because they have a Kids magazine, on the side of the Official WWE one, clearly aimed at Non-Kids? Just because they stopped having bladejobs every other match? Just because there is ONE character who got over with kids?
See, some people should get off their high horse and realize pro wrestling will always try to cater to kids, as they're valuable customers. And more adult audiences will still get their own slice of the cake.
WWE is not more kid friendly than it was 15 years ago. If you're really really bothered by Hornswaggle, just use your remote and keep it quiet. And enjoy the more adult part of the program.

It's pretty obvious WWE is trying to be kid-friendly, and appeal to a younger demographic. At the same time, I found nothing innapropriate about Goldust's promo on RAW.

I will play Devil's (Troll's?) advocate and suggest that Vince has in the past used the phrase "we are family entertainment" several times. And "we put smiles on people's faces" and all that crap. So yeah, it is hypocritical! But it's still fun to me, dammit!

Here is how I can summarize my wrestling watching from the time I started when I was about 9 years old in 1992.
1992-1995 (ages 9-12 or 13): Every wrestler also has a "job" (cop, plumber, garbage man, racecar driver, etc.) "Wow, these bad guys are cheaters, they always use their managers help! I hope they lose." "Wow, they used a chair...they almost NEVER do that, this is serious!" "Bret Hart is the best."
1995-1998 (ages 12-15) Didn't watch. It got really stupid after 'Mania 12 and I just walked away with no problem.
1999-2001 (ages 15/16-18) My little sister ordered the Royal Rumble and I watched Rock and Mankind. I was instantly hooked again. "Jesus Christ...when did the WWF get like this?!?" "These guys are wild." "Austin and Rock are incredible characters."
2002-Present (ages 19-25) "Wow, Cena is such a kiss-ass." "Triple H is one of the greats, but this stronghold is ridiculous." "There shouldn't be 2 or 3 big titles." "What's up with this cartoon s**t?"
So, while we grow and evolve, businesses like WWF/E go through up and down periods. You just have to wait until you find that moment where you meet on the upswing and enjoy the hell out of it, because it never lasts.

It was "newz" of them going in a generally kid friendly market, dude are you serious though they just toned down things, not everything will include magic powers So we WONT see the return of Kane's lightning powers? Bummer.
