Remember muppet babies? That show where you had the muppets kids being the stars?
Well thats what the WWE is turning into. I am getting tired of people getting a free pass into the WWE just because who their daddy is. Sure I have no problem if they are good enough, but it is quite evident that most are not. And then we have people who have busted their ass off for years trying to get a break in the business only to be shut out by the spoilt brats of past wrestlers.
Sure Orton has grown into his role quite well, as have a few others. But for every Manu / Sim Snuka there are 10 Chris Hero's out there.
(Ok I was just using Hero as an example of someone who works their way up and actually has talent here, so no need to go into one for that)

The ones that aren't ususally get shelved or repackaged. Orton when he came in was very bland, but repackaging him fixed a lot of the problems. Ask Teddy Hart how far family gets you without any class.
Obviously, yeah, having an important dad gets your foot in the door, just like any job. Besides, a lot of the 2nd generation guys are better off than others since they have a ready-made gimmick, usually have a better understanding of what wrestling demands from you, and are more respectful. Look at Cody Rhodes. Guy has stayed out of trouble, is pretty damn good at what he does, and has made strides in the promo department, even if WWE doesn't allow him to talk that often.
I'll say this: Legacy and others aren't even CLOSE to as bad as David Sammartino, Greg Gagne, and Erik Watts being shoved down our throats, so at least the business has evolved in that respect.
I don't get what is wrong with Sim, other than his crappy outfit. He was WAY better than Domino, at the least.

Tell it to Teddy Hart, or to Lacey Von Erich. Being second or third-gen doesn't make for automatically getting a good spot in the E. Matter of fact, without some kind of radical reinvention, I don't see Dakota Darsow or Taylor Rotunda making it out of FCDub either

I agree with the Teddy Hart sentiment. His family is a legacy but he's a problematic individual......and it keeps biting him in the ass.
As for Sim Snuka.....he doesn't bother me. I wish he'd get a better attire though.
Manu....he just sucks. I already gave my thoughts on him in the thread about him.
Cody Rhodes is a good example. He knows what's expected and he behaves. He's improving constantly as well.
Randy Orton has come into his own. At first he was boring but now he's gotten a personality.

I thought that one of key motos or phrases in the business is not what you know, but who you know. In this case, its very easy to get a spot if your father or mother was a legendary wrestler.

Teddy Hart is a massive liability, there was no way thety could have him until he cleans himself up. And Lacey Von Erich decided to focus more on modelling. It does help a lot if your daddy was a famous wrestler in the 80s. Ted DiBiase Jr has said that he was offered a development deal when he had never wrestled in his life. He turned it down as he wanted to actually learn to wrestle before going to developmental.

I have to agree to an extent. Because Sim Snuka, Manu, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase don't have a personality between them. However they are given as much, if not more of a push, than Miz and Morrison. Two guys who are about as over as it is possible for a tag team to be these days.

I don't remember Cody pinning Shawn Michaels, or Manu putting Triple H down for the count. When was Sim ECW Champion? And when did DiBiase get his own webshow? They've been pushed, but maintain a little perspective.

They've been pushed, but maintain a little perspective. All that Miz and Morrison have achieved was over a few years and with hard work. The Legacy kids have basically been given pushes since day one. DiBiase won a title on his first match despite no one being interested in him. Snuka showed no signs on being interesting at any point in his career and was awarded with a place in Randy Orton's stable. Manu was bought and almost immediatley put in a programme, alongside Priceless, against Randy Orton. I'm not suggesting Miz and Morrison haven't been used well, just that they have had to work to get over and to stay over. None of the other guys I mentioned really had to put any work in. Granted they 'behave' but that doesn't mean I should be interested in them.

I wasn't making a case for Miz and Morrison being pushed. I know they have, I was saying Cody and them haven't been pushed as much, like you were saying they were.
Cody probably has the most potential out of the group, since I think he was doing well for himself as a smart ass face until Holly ruined it.
Deuce did pretty well with Domino, but Domino was worse than mediocre, Cherry left the group, and it all went to crap. I'm glad he got out alright as Sim. I think he needs to work on his look, but he's got some potential, too, with some polish.
DiBiase shouldn't of won the title that fast, I agree.

I guess I am just a little frustrated. I very rarely have any problems with WWE. But I find this new stable annoying. None of them, apart from Orton, are of any real interest to me yet they are featured heavily every week.
