Ok so everyone is talking about Cage and Jeff and this and that... but an idea for a great match just hit me, and it involves a gimmick match that has not been used since the early nineties...
JEFF HARDY VS. EDGE in a.....
THROW IN THE TOWEL MATCH!
Yes sir, and in Jeff's corner with the towel we have Matt, and in Edges corner we have Vickie.
Which corner person can stand to watch their loved one withstand the most pain?
You want to do Owen/Bret with the Hardys? Then lets go back to the classic Bret/Backlund match. You can even turn Matt during this match heel.

Why turn Matt heel?
I would instead have Jeff lose due to extreme amounts of punishment. He would still be furious with Matt throwing in the towl and either freak out at him and limp away or attack him with somthing.

I just hope its not another triple threat... I feel like Smackdown title matches have been a triple threat at like the last 4 PPV's. I think this match gimmick is a lost art form and can pop the audience huge. Just imagine Jeff with a bloody Edge in a submission and the fans screaming at vickie to throw in the towel, or the exact opposite with Matt.

I dont know. I think kayfabe wise Matt has seen his brother get take enough punishment (self-inflicted and otherwise) to know how much his brother can handle without getting too emotionally involved unlike Vickie.

I approve. Or, they could re-visit the scenario from WM9 where Owen beat Bret but Bret ended the night as champion. Although, I haven't the foggiest of ideas how to book that

I like the idea, though with the hinting I would think Vickie would be more likely to toss in the towel, to further the idea she's favoring Big Show.
