Not knowing that Paul Burchill's Pirate gimmick was based off of Jack Sparrow. OK fine, Vince might be a little behind on the times. Oh, that's ok. He is an older guy, so I could see him not knowing certain things. That said, the people that he surrounds himself with, the younger writers, agents, producers, etc. should help keep him up to date with cultural things that would pertain to the characters their company portrays.

I like Orton. I can't stand Batista.
At least he cares how his matches are, but I blame him for most of his matches sucking.

Surely Vince is up with the times... give me one example of him not being 'with it'. Not knowing that Paul Burchill's look and behavior for his Pirate gimmick was based off of Jack Sparrow. Or (allegedly) wanting to use Burchill and Katie Lea in a Cruel Intentions angle nearly a decade after the movie came out

EDITL: Damn! Beaten to it.

Vince: Look at that big, muscly kid. He's been on his feet all day, walking around, working hard. He's just the kind of guy we need on this roster. What's the name of that actor who's always standing up? Triple H: Rory Calhoun, dad? Vince: Yeah, send the word down to Tampa that this kid needs to be repackaged as the next Rory Calhoun. Get me accounting. I need $10,000 for vignettes. Get that whippersnapper Capra to direct them. We'll make developmental a bunch of little Rory Calhouns!

Mike Knox definitely is much more talented then Snitsky. He's athletic for a guy his size, he can wrestle well, and he looks really intimiating.

other news so what now for the manimal? a banana to soothe his sorrows or another title shot? Cena / Batista / Orton / HBK in a Fatal Four Way at...what's the next pay per view? The Animule will not only be fine, but he'll be okay too.

i was thinking what they are gonna do with hacksaw will be more of a "the wrestler" based thing.
and eh, no big news for dave. i think most wrestlers would be a bit annoyed if a major marquee match of theirs didn't go over that well. sometimes things just don't click, that's all.

Wait a minute. WWE doing an angle based on "The Wrestler"? A current movie? Vince knows about it? My God...... The angle is actually based off a silent film of the same name starring Groucho Marx. He plays a man who will take on all comers so he can survive the Great Depression. When a member of creative thought Vince was talking about the Rourke film, Vince asked, "who's Mickey Rourke?"

I actually give props to Batista for thinking his match could've gone better. Self-improvement's always a good thing.
That is if he doesn't blame everyone but himself, that is. Not that I'm saying the match wasn't that good was ENTIRELY his fault. Just as long as he recognizes his own shortcomings in the match as well as others' and works to improve as much as he can so he and Orton can get a much better match next time.

To be fair, the only reason Vince knows about the Wrestler is because he actually had a private screening of it with the director.
You'd think Vince watches in flight movies, though.
