Which brings up....
Say, original poster, did Dale ever use any choice slurs around you, or otherwise express racism? Sexism or homophobia. Obviously, saying the words is a no-no, but you could confirm or deny without getting too explicit.

Obviously, saying the words is a no-no, but you could confirm or deny without getting too explicit. I didn't see anything, but it really doesn't surprise me. Nothing specific, but... he just had that "vibe," you know? As an aside, he hates message boards with a passion. He just doesn't see the point. Do you know, Johnny GLitter and WSW here in PA. and whats your take on them? I interviewed him once. Nice guy, though he came off as being a bit "odd." There were only two interviews that I did that can be described as "high energy" - GQ Gallo and his. Unlike Gallo, his interview was a straight shoot. Glitter also sent me a slew of pictures of himself as Hulk Hogan. Does he still do the Hogan gimmick? And about the promoter interviews - my favorite by far was the one with FLQ promoter Paul Leduc. The guy is a legend. I wanted to do a phone interview, but he apparently doesn't speak English well. He had to have his daughter translate. I ended up doing a ton of research on, well, everything - Leduc himself, the Rougeaus, Quebec wrestling, the Vachons, Quebec independence, the October Incident, and anything else that I thought might have been important. (If I hadn't done the research, I wouldn't have known why the letters "FLQ" were so important.) Going back to the "Dale wouldn't push anyone" thing for a moment, he missed a golden opportunity with Mr. Leduc, During the interview, I asked him point blank if he still had contact with Kevin Steen, El Generico, and Lufisto. Not only did he have ties, he was still booking them for his shows. (This was a year ago. I have no idea if they still work for him.) I then asked in a roundabout way if they would ever consider working a combined AWA event. Again, he said yes. I went to Dale with this, but he didn't want to hear it. He then said that he was tired of me "suggesting talent" for him to use. When I got that email, I literally started pounding my fist on my computer desk in anger. It wouldn't that big of a deal. The worst that could happen is that I write an article about how the three biggest names in Quebec work for an AWA territory. It would make the AWA look important and besides, it was the truth.

To be fair, add a number or two to that password and you're golden.
That'd be the last word I'd think of trying to hack someone's account. I'd be all like kittens and shit.

Not related to anything in particular but I laughed my head off when Fox News had Gagner on their shows during the Benoit situation as their "wrestling expert" to talk about Benoit, drug use in wrestling and Sherri (who he refered to as "my AWA women's champion").

I've gotten that asnwer more than once. Not related to anything in particular but I laughed my head off when Fox News had Gagner on their shows during the Benoit situation as their "wrestling expert" to talk about Benoit, drug use in wrestling and Sherri (who he refered to as "my AWA women's champion"). He always did that. He once said that the AWA Women's title "died with Sherri." And to think about all of the great wrestlers that held that belt - Sherri Martel, Wendi Ritcher, Colt Cabana... (not joking, either. It was unofficial, but still. And no... I didn't write that.)

I personally worked with Dale twice. Once I was getting sponsors for a show I wanted to do, I believe it was 2002.
I was getting everything set, and we even set our press release out.
It was the Road Warriors coming back to Minnesota.
I got to talk to Hawk, and he joked about how much I made in sponsorship from a casino. He lost more at the casino in one night was his line.
It was set to be the Road Warriors vs. Bill Irwin and a remade Long Riders team.
Then the unfortunate came when Hawk past away, and to make matters worse the place that the show was going to be held closed down.
The NorShor theatre if anyone is in Minnesota they would know the place I'm presuming.
So that was my first show, and it was cancelled.
Second show we ran, I got sponsors and he brought in all of six or seven guys to run an all day show.
Johnnie Stewert was great, Bill Irwin was awsome, Evan Karagis was the then champ.
He was alright, but damn it was tough to wake him up.
I also had Puck from the Real World on as a replacement for the Miz.
The show was supposed to be headlined by the Miz vs. Karagis for the title.
We also had one funny thing happen, he had this huge team made to be his Road Warriors. They were young guys, and HUGE. Awful personalities however, and they came into the casino I got the sponsorship from with facepaint on. And they made the security guards crap themselves when they tried to stop them at the door.
And my second show was awful, I never got paid by Dale.
My wife hated his personality, and thought very very little of him. I personally did not mind, but I worked so hard to do so much, and he took everything and did nothing with it.
One odd thing, I'm still attached to his group E-mails. I also recieved a nice Christmas card from him.
He talked about my family and everything like that, well it was four or so years later so it was a big out of the blue suprise.
So no matter how bad everyone makes him, and it is quite bad there is a side to him that is nice and very respectful.
I know some of the talent he works with older guys I mean like him quite a bit, but I think every small indy guy probably has many reasons to dislike him.
If anyone Briz is still reading this is Dale still great friends with Jim Duggan?
