I'm just gonna suggest a bunch of classic rock, so you can't go wrong with stuff by AC/DC or Zepp.

I made two or three of these for my friend when we were regularly taking round trips over 50 miles to donate plasma
I forget all of them, but one was rock the other was rap/rock.
The rock one began with Detroit Rock City and had
Ministry - Jesus Built My Hotrod Rob Zombie - Demon Speeding Van Halen - Runnin' With the Devil Rob Zombie - Dragula Rob Zombie - Never Gona Stop
The rap/rock one had
Methods of Mayhem - Crash Bad Ronald - Hands on the Wheel Limp Bizkit - Rollin' (Urban Assault Vehicle) Limp Bizkit feat. Snoop - Red Light Green Light N.E.R.D. - Rockstar (Jason Nevins remix) Union Underground - South Texas Deathride
(Riders on the Storm with Snoop definitely belongs on it now)

Tom Cochrane - Life Is a Highway. Kansas - Carry on Wayward Son These. Sting and the Police - "Message in a Bottle" Black Sabbath - "Iron Man" And, for me, I like Metallica and System of a Down on long road trips. Keeps you bright eyed and bushy tailed! Though it may lead to some road rage...

Sometimes, I listen to techno-dance mixes while I drive. Turns the driving experience into something more like a video game. Good solid beat, no distracting lyrics, no awkward pauses.
Funny thing is, sometimes I listen to the same music to help me sleep...

Whenever I'm stuck in really bad traffic, I blast Mollosus from Batman Begins. Oddly it usually clears things up.
