I actually thought it was kinda cool. But it's one of those movies where I point at it and go "yep. that's a Steven Sommers movie"

Geez, I don't know. It looks like its gonna be incredibly unrealistic with them jumping 25 feet and dodging missiles in the air. I understand that is is G.I. Joe but I'd at least like it to follow the laws of Physics.

Looks good, but is the scottish/irish sounding dude suppose to be Destro? Not complaining, just wondering. Also, Baroness = Hot. yeppers, it's Christopher Echelston (the 9th Doctor) as Destro. |

And.....what I was worried about is true....Everyone looks the f***ing same during the action sequences....
Also, for f***'s sakes, everyone is jumping ungodly high into the air, the Eiffel Tower gets melted by a very unconvincing greed acidic goo....
Yeah.....um....if the movie was going to be this unrealistic, why the f*** just not have everyone have their outfits from the cartoon/toy line?

the Eiffel Tower gets melted by a very unconvincing greed acidic goo.... To be fair, the effect may not be entirely cleaned up to the level they intend it to appear in when the movie hits theaters, and they do have a lot of time to finish editing and refining it. |

I do have to say, while Baroness looks real hot, Scarlett really....doesn't. Might be the shot or resolution, but she doesn't stack up.

This fails without the G.I. Joe theme. To be fair, it's 30 seconds and 10 go to Cobra, so it wouldn't really fit. |

When they put it into the ad, it more or less means that is what it'll look like. Granted they tend to cut scenes shown in ads from the movie itself, but most of the time stuff seen in the TV ads are final, and this is the SUPER BOWL ad, meaning this is 100% for sure that the green acid goo looks like. Otherwise they would've used another shot for the ad. |

When they put it into the ad, it more or less means that is what it'll look like. More or less sure, but they can still add details to make it look better. Example: www.firstshowing.net/2008/05/17/the-hulks-cgi-finally-gets-upgraded/edit: And I would think, even if it wasn't graphically complete, a shot of the Eiffel Tower melting and falling over is something they're going to want to try to show to people to interest them in the movie. |

Looks like crap, just another summer explosion fest filled to the brim with generic leather clad hero's who look and act nothing like the cartoon I grew up loving. Just one time I would love to watch a movie that stayed true to its source content.

I read they were going to do a GI JOE film a few years ago, and it was supposed to be very light. but after 9/11 they didn't think it would be approperate. |
