Just pretend this says 2009...... It's a new year, and a new award name. Not only was the demand overwhelming for CM Punk, but Mr. McMahon seems to be ALIVE!!! So no need for a memorial award in his honor anymore. Thus, the CM Punk Award is born in 2009! With that said, what will you put into the running as the first RAW match of 2009 for the Match of the Year poll? The journey begins again!!! Also, THE 2008 MATCH OF THE YEAR POLL is still around the first or second page, so if you haven't voted for the best WWE Television match of 2008 yet, get to it!!!

Voted Kelly/Jillian, even though it seems to me that as Kelly's wrestling keeps going up, Jillian's is in a downward spiral

I remember the good old days when I'd do this thread and then at the end of the month, when I'd do MOTM, people would ask why one of the losers wasn't listed.

In all honesty, I really liked the Cryme Tyme/Not-So-Legacy match.
Especially the end where JTG rolled away from the Cody-DT, so Rhodes just "rolled the dice" with the inverted Twist of Fate (Fateful Twist?) on him for the win.

The people just have to learn that, in MOTW polls, there's a winner, and there are losers. One match becomes the Match of the Week, and to all the others.... Be Jealous.

Even though he is on SmackDown, Jeff Hardy still deserves to be the namesake of this award. He won it every week for about 4 months.

Pretty solid tonight, but nothing outstanding. The main event was slightly head of Miz/Morrison-Kofi/Mysterio. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the Jillian-Kelly match.

Cody seemed to have lost JTG, but actually had him right where he wanted him. Nice.

Miz/Morrison vs Rey/Kofi for me, was a good length for a TV match, and had some great spots.
The other tag matches were all enjoyable as well.

The main event, I went into this Raw fully expecting Regal vs Punk to steal the show given the build up it got and stuff but ended up been ripped off Saying that it does come in a close 2nd though purely because of Regal sneaking a squeeze of Laylas boob

Look at my sig and guess.
Goldust, the only reason I watch RAW. I didn't even mind Melina and I usually can't stand her. Her top rope move was pretty neat.
