JBL has updated his WWE Universe blog with his comments about WWE's recent firings. "I can't tell you how sorry I was to hear some of my good friends are no longer with WWE. It's just part of life, I know, but that doesn't make it any better to deal with. I have been here longer than I ever dreamed, and actually right now on top of my game," he said. "It's been a great run, but out-staying the crew you came in with is tough
Torrie had a clothes store with her boyfriend from the spirit squad
Cory Wiatrek sent this in: I didn't know if this was news worthy, but I was recently walking through "Market Street" in The Woodlands, TX and noticed Torrie Wilson's clothing store "Jaded" has shut down. She opened the store in Spring 2008 and it's doors have been officially closed.

As noted over the weekend here on the website, Steve Austin has requested that Ric Flair induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame. The company has mixed feelings on this, because Flair isn't with the company anymore, and his induction of Austin would be free advertising for Flair. The induction of Austin would be the centerpiece of the USA Network special that would air on tape delay that same night. One positive for WWE would be that Flair's induction did a big number last year, and with him inducting Austin, it would guarantee a big rating. From all reports, Austin will get his way.

So after C.M. Punk won the title tonight, I did some research. Punk became a triple crown champion (World, Tag Team, Intercontinental) faster than anyone else in the company. From his first title reign (June 30, 2008) to tonight (January 19, 2009), it has been 203 days. The only person close to that was Kevin Nash who became a triple crown champion in 227 days. Don't know if this means anything in the long run, but it is interesting to see Vince solidify him in history like this.

There was a few minutes of downtime as the announcers left and Lillian was busy talking to a few people. She comes in the ring and is about to announce the main event, but after talking with the ringside guys some more, announces that the show is over due to the events that had just occurred. Everyone starts to leave, the video screens begin to shut down, and the referees come out to start disassembling the ring.
This goes on for a few minutes, until John Cena comes out. He says Chicago was promised a championship defense, and asks everyone "who can hear his voice" to come out of the concourse. Eventually, Jericho comes back out, in full ring gear, and we have our match. It was a decent match, with Jericho attacking Cena with a microphone and the steel stairs, but Cena wins with the soon-to-be-renamed FU.
I'm sure some fans who left will be upset upon hearing what happened, but if this was all planned, it was very well done. Heck I was on my way out too, but because the line out was so long, I was still inside when Cena came out.

The following piece of information was announced on the Post and Courier website earlier today:
While they haven’t mentioned one another specifically by name, former dating partners and native Illinoisans C.M. Punk (Phil Brooks) and Maria (Kanellis) appear to have gotten in subtle digs during recent radio interviews.
The 26-year-old WWE diva and 2008 Playboy cover, commenting on her past relationship with Punk, said the two broke up because of wrestling and that she is currently is dating someone outside the wrestling business. “Looking for someone who’s going to treat me like a lady and not like one of the boys,” she noted.
In a separate interview, when discussing Playboy playmates, the 30-year-old Punk said, “Playboy playmates are so overrated. I also like women with brains

By Jen Hunt and Kara A. Medalis
In this week’s Diva Dish, Mickie James shares a talent
Musical Mickie
Raw’s Mickie James shared a little unknown fact with Diva Dish this week – she’s quite the songbird when it comes to karaoke. She claimed that while she doesn’t sing karaoke too often, she recently belted out “Fancy” by Reba McEntire in a karaoke contest and has been asked to return to sing in the contest finals. The prize? Studio time in Nashville, Tenn.!
But will the Women’s Champion compete to be a karaoke champion, too?
“Maybe. I have to practice. If I think that I can actually pull it off, I might go back,” she admitted.

When Melina isn’t lacing up her wrestling boots for the Raw ring, she’s strutting her stuff in a pair of black and silver Masai Barefoot Technology shoes, a gift from Johnny Nitro. MBT’s rounded-sole technology helps tone the body’s abs, back, glutes and more, which only helps Melina maintain her ultra-sexy look each week on Raw.
