Johnny's Got His Gun!
Hands down the best and scariest war movie made, if you have never seen it find a way.

My list is sent, and it does NOT include Full Metal Jacket. That movie is a good boot camp movie, but as far as war movie it BLOWS. The entire second half of the movie is unwatchable to me.

Shit I should of asked this question before I sent my list in. Well here it is anyway:
Will a film set during a war but has no combat scenes in it count? Movies like The Great Escape or Schindler's List?

Does this cover all wars or just modern warfare? For instance Troy is arguably a war film set in ancient greece.
EDIT: I hope so as my list is in and only five movies are set in the 20th century.

What is a "War Movie"?
Star Wars? The Wild Bunch? Stripes? Steel Magnolias? Schindler's List?

I only expect 2 of my top 10 to make the cut (and yes, all of mine could be considered war movies). I'm sad that my No. 1 is something very few on the board probably know exists, much less have seen.
