Did the language rules change? I went looking for the rule on bad language and only found 3 no-go words on the list. I was about to start a thread about 'lines from songs that you quote', and realized that the two I was going to use as examples had possibly-restricted language in them. Figured I should check first. Yeah we've loosened them up a bit. Just the ones listed in the Rules (pay extra attention to the N-Word listing as is includes any version of it) are filtered. Still, using certain words that aren't filtered to flame, describe or things of that nature could get ya warned. As for your thread idea, it should be fine. Just use common sense, let the filters do their work or do it yourself if you feel better about it. How on earth do you use that search function efficiently? I wanted to search for that epic Todd thread, so went into Search and asked for threads with the word Todd and Sunny, and display results as threads. I got back some Sunny in Philedephia thread. I still don't get that meme. Also, shouldn't the WWE Netwrodk board be a WW Media board, where you discuss all things WWE Media, like the Network, DVDs, Games, etc? Not icluding social media, like twitter posts and such. Search is an eternal problem here. It'll work one day but then not for weeks, it is an issue with the size of the board I believe. You can always try going to Google and using (Search Term) site:officialfan.proboards.com but that is not always the best. officialfan.proboards.com/thread/480969/special-photo-sunny-starring-todd - There is the original Todd thread. For the WWE Network board, that is not a bad idea. We originally made it at launch because of all the topics on it would overwhelm WWE Current. With most of the launch taken care of, it settled down and we could discuss it.

I thought now might be the time to bring this up: The Proboards server has gone down three times in the last two months. Have any of the mods looked into moving this board onto a more stable server after backing up the database or would that glitch all of the accounts since everyone has to register through Proboards? How long could the downtime be if this is considered?
Also, some of the images/gifs I've posted turn into broken links sometimes if they're not from a social media or photo uploading site. What's with that?

Not really under discussion, moving the boards.

I just realized I was kinda short there. That wasn't intended.
There are a number of reasons, some you've touched on, for not moving the forums. There's also cost, potential bugs/discrepancies w/ new software or hosts, time it would take, TOS of new hosts to take into account (overall Proboards is pretty darned good about the TOS)... it's basically a lot of hassle for too little gain for us as a community at this time.
I may be putting words into other people's mouths there, just take that as my opinion on it.

So, what about the images/gifs that become broken links sometimes if they're not from social media/photo uploading sites? I think there was a blog site image I used that became broken and I had to put it on a photo uploading site to fix it in my post. Another thing I forgot to add: Sometimes the posters I've blocked get un-blocked automatically (check marks are removed from all boxes). I have to go re-check a long list and that can be annoying. Any way to fix this bug?

For the last (the blocked becoming unblocked) that's something I've not seen before, I'd bring it up on the proboards support forum.
For the broken links, it might be that the image host does not allow hotlinking, but while you're on the site the pictures show up for you here. I've seen that happen before. I'd recommend using imgur to rehost the image for your own use, you can just put the URL in and it'll automatically download and give you a new link to use.

Serious question: Do we have a rule or provision against Gimmick posting/posters? I didn't see an official one, but I also know there are some....shall we just say "Unspoken" rules of the fora. I ask because a Badly timed gimmick post does tend to derail a legit discussion/thread sometimes.

They do not last long.

Would discussing using Ad blocker on the WWE networks be against forum rules?

So I've created a poll with the results hidden until the person votes. Is there a way for me to check the results without voting?

I might be an idiot or whatever but why does the next page in a thread always start where you are in the current page? for example if I click the next page right now it will start in the bottom. Is there a way to fix it somewhere on the page?

Has there even been consideration to banning the gender politics/social issues type threads?
I mean, politics and religion are banned because they make people furious and it all goes nuts. Isn't this the same kind of stuff? I've never seen one of them end well around here.

We are currently discussing what to do about such threads. It may be that we'll declare a moratorium on such threads to at least see the effects of doing so.
There is a concern that outright banning the threads would be the wrong move, since that takes away quite a bit of topics that can be discussed here. Like anything, it's more about people's behavior towards each other than the actual content of the threads (unless it is explicitly, definitively, going against the no politics/religion rule).
So, we are talking about it and deciding what the best move would be for the forums.

Lets see if I can remember the trick for that: Profile > Edit Profile > Notifications > Uncheck everything > Save it > Turn on what you want > Save again. I think that is it.

Are we still enforcing the "No creepy gifs" rule in the women thread? If not, no big, but they certain seem to be coming back.

Can we talk about stuff like Youtube rippers or sites/apps that can convert web videos into MP3s (i.e. sites that offer that service, etc.) or does that break a Proboards rule?
