Why do I get the normal site on my mobile instead of the mobile one? Login seems to be the mobile version but everything else is the computer version. Have you used the "Switch to Mobile" option at the bottom of the page? If so, and it still defaults to the desktop version of the site, my only guess would be a setting in your browser that looks for desktop version over the mobile.

Is there a way to trick the search into getting the results I want? I'm trying to look for a thread from almost six months ago and everything is starting to look the same.

Maybe this is more for my curiosity, but what sets the thread title limit?

Maybe this is more for my curiosity, but what sets the thread title limit? The character limit? It is a Proboards thing as far as I know.

I was wondering, about the Game of Thrones thread and similar ones, is there an official rule on until when new stuff is considered spoilers? A day after airing? Until next episode? It seems it's generally accepted to at least wait a couple days before openly talking about the latest twists so it's aired at least once worldwide but I'm curious if there's an official word.

Someone else might elaborate on this, but spoilers are free game after the show/movie/etc. aired in the United States. There is, however, common courtesy involved and one should use spoiler tags or put a spoiler warning in the thread title.

Can you bring glowing text back? It wasn't compatible in all browsers unfortunately. You can use shadows though.

Is there an alternative to Tapatalk? I ask because while I did finally manage to get it semi-working, it was the most annoying process and the app itself isn't very good.

That is the only app as far as I know. There is a mobile version of the board which is what I use and find to be much better than the Tapatalk app. On iOS, you can put a shortcut on the home screen so you can find and open it like any other app.

Umm what happened to the big box on the bottom of the screen that suggested threads I may want to visit. Did Cornfed steal that too?

Is there a way to stop the ads on the bottom of the page that have video from automatically playing? It slows down the forum for me when I'm scrolling and typing, and it pisses me off.

On the bottom of the page hit the "report ad" button.

I can no longer open external links from the board as they're all rerouted through VigLink, which is automatically blocked by both my home and work security settings. Is this a new thing on here?

That's a proboards thing, all external links filter through them from what I can tell reading a thread in Support. This is new to me.

Someone else might elaborate on this, but spoilers are free game after the show/movie/etc. aired in the United States. There is, however, common courtesy involved and one should use spoiler tags or put a spoiler warning in the thread title. That is only for wrestling shows, not other stuff. For films and TV shows and such, it's a little bit different. As some films are released in the USA long before anywhere else and it's not fair for the rest of the world to potentially have it spoilt. Likewise, recently Captain America was released in several territories before it was released in the USA, it would then be unfair for people to spoil it for them. Use a bit of common courtesy really. There's no "official" time limit on such things but if it's more than a year or two old, then I'd say it's then fair game to be discussed without the need for spoiler tags. But people also need to show a bit of common sense when reading these threads. For example, if Game of Thrones is not aired in your country until a couple of days after the USA broadcast, then if you go into the discussion thread before you watch it, you really only have yourself to blame.

Sorry to waste time, but a question just popped into my head. Do the old profanity filters, like Smurf for the F word, show up in archived threads before the change?
For example, if someone posted the rental car rant from Planes Trains and Automobile in 2007 and I look it up in the archives, would Steve Martin be looking for " a smurffing Buick, Datsun, Mustang or Toyota." or would it be the current f*** filter?
