Dose ish count as typing around the filters? No, because “shit” isn’t actually filtered. Hasn’t been for years. Given we`re talking about it, I've been curious for years as to why shit was removed from the filter list when words like f*** are still on there. It doesn't bother me or anything, just curious.

It just made things easier. Shit isn’t exactly one of the big swears anymore, so it was removed. That and it caused problems when people wanted to talk about Yoshi Tatsu.

I'm sick and tired of this forums clear bias toward the Waluigi party.

Ok, I know we cant embed videos that feature clips from WWE or any promotions that they own, but what if the video is simply still pictures, no video?

Ok, I know we cant embed videos that feature clips from WWE or any promotions that they own, but what if the video is simply still pictures, no video? That should be fine, unless WWE goes after it. That's the thing: our rules with copyright hinge on what they decide to go after. You can embed but, honestly, a link works just as well.

Guys, this is likely my last post here and I have enough respect not to do the classic ‘open a thread and flounce’ routine, but this site is easily the single worst platform of wrestling discussion on the internet.
I used to lurk here back in ‘the day’ when it was associated with the Wrestlecrap site. Debates would rage fiercely on a number of topics. Even the most inane discussion could end up fairly heated, because people were passionate about their love of wrestling. Threads on fairly inane subjects would quickly break into double-figure page threads as everyone would pile in, not afraid to exchange their views. It was also a place of tremendous humor.
Sadly it’s morphed into the most counterproductively ‘woke’, humorles, over moderated board on the internet. If you’ll forgive the political inference, the moderation here borders on the authoritarian. Undoubtedly moderators see it as their job to stop opinions. The Hogan thread for example, the opinion that Hogan was a jerk that shouldn’t be allowed back was allowed, but the thread closed the second the counter argument got made. There was no ‘flaming’ or abuse, no language, threats, political or religious discussion - it wasn’t even getting particularly heated. Closed.
And that’s really just the tip of the iceberg. As someone who used to peruse the site back in ‘the day’ it’s bizarre to see how fairly puritanical and dour this place has become in the interim. I’ve ranted about this before but the Raw and Smackdown. threads are now getting a fraction of the number of posts they used to get. You don’t even have to look that far
Source: This boards very own archive page.
Smackdown thread - 12/27/16: 79 pages (1.579 posts and 21,507 views)
Smackdown thread - 01/01/19 - 25 pages (444 posts and 5,550 views)
That’s in little over 2 years. Interest in the product hasn’t fallen that much. Yet desire to want to discuss it here has fallen off a cliff. And that example is less embarrassing that others I could have picked. If you want to go back even further than 25 pages is what you'd get an hour after the thread had been created, two-days before it was due to air. It's genuinely horrible to see what's happened to this site.
You could blame some on the drop of interest in the WWE product but you also have to look at the overbearing moderation we have here now where moderators, despite the denials, demonstrably see it as their job to stop discussion or any opinion that they don’t like.
And the thing is I know I’m not alone. I’m in contact through other means with posters of the past who voted with their feet who stopped coming here for the same reason. They’re still chatting about wrestling elsewhere, still equally as prolific, but they do so in a setting where they don’t fear a moderator will give them a warning for the crime of expressing an opinion they disagree with, have threads locked when it looks dangerously close to breaking out into a debate, or have it suddenly announce that entire WWE events cannot be spoken about or referred to because…”politics”
But you know, whatever. I’ve accepted if you no longer enjoy something walk away. There’s almost nothing of interest that happens here anymore because of moderators who smother discussion under the direction of an individual who turned the most vibrant and expressive wrestling message board into a quite austere, somber and self-righteous platform that’s dying before our eyes and whose response to this post is probably going to be denials/ban and just carry on as normal. In 12 months time everyone will look back and wonder why the Raw/Smackdown threads are struggling to get into double figures. Meanwhile the big guy will frantically try and think of another 11 rules he needs to impose.
Oh well, such as life.
Out.

In 12 months time everyone will look back and wonder why the Raw/Smackdown threads are struggling to get into double figures. Meanwhile the big guy will frantically try and think of another 11 rules he needs to impose. Oh well, such as life. Out. Yeah damn those evil mods for having gone through that same discussion about 15 times last year, and locking a thread that was starting to go in circles like the last 15 Hogan threads. Defending the same point over and over gets tiresome for everyone. As I have access to the warnings handed out let's see when the last four were issued, 20th December, 18th December and 21st november, 13th october so yeah evil mods over moderating and warning posters every other post. The moderation here has been the most relaxed it's been since this version of the board opened, the mods used to be a lot more bloodthirsty with banning's back in the early years. Rose tinted glasses for the memory of the boards, I remember how no one could talk about mickie James without people linking her to an American fast food place, this place drove off a female wrestler through poster idiocy, how people would post threads how drunk they were (yes this happened frequently at weekends.), people striving to become board famous so they would post utter drivel or try to hijack every thread they could to make it about them. how people who wracked up multiple warnings got themselves banned and then spent the next SIX months coming back to spam the boards with shite, hell a board existed because a group of posters who couldn't exist without this place or the thought of not being here and had shitty schemes there to get back at here in various pathetic ways (I'm guessing this is the group of posters you talk to from back in the day.) But all blamed the mod who they thought banned them & Madison. Not forgetting the jackass who would make threads offering to streak if something happened he thought would happen for at least 7 ppv's in a row. Also the boards breaking if a thread went over 30 pages. As for the live threads now vs then, less people watch now vs then as much as I find the ratings threads pointless they do show the fandom is down as a whole in the u.s.a. as less people watch the shows, look at the main complaints in all the raw threads authority figure rehashed for multiple years, the lack of presence of the guy holding the belt, wwe's booking is questionable at best and has driven off people from watching either from turning the fan base into negative people (let's face it www fans queue up to shit on nearly everything if they don't take to it right away.) Or flat out insulting their intelligence enough that they find something else to devote their time to.

Even if I tried, I can't bring myself think my presence in this place is important enough to leave a farewell manifesto before riding off into the night. Or, honestly, to care about any message board enough to bother doing so.
Still, it's a thing that happens from time to time, so... uh... mazel to whatever the future may bring?

Not to be a douche here regarding bro's novella but...who gives a shit? It's a messageboard. It ain't that serious. Stay and post, if ya don't like it, take off. Generally speaking, the most people are gonna know of ya is your handle, maybe an av or a signature and if they like your posts. And that last one honestly isn't gonna stick that much in people's memory.
If ya make friends you talk to outside of here, assume ya still will.
I promise no one else cares. And that goes for me too. It's a messageboard, f***in relax.

There have been some legitimately hilarious posts on here throughout the years, as well as enlightening and informative ones. I'll always remember the post about an excited Big Show showing off his strip mall full of sad stores, or Jericho's dueling reactions to hearing that his Twitter had blown up, and then learning why.
