I'm making my decisions for this almost purely based on coaches. You will not make a Final Four with a crappy coach. I think this is the year that Jamie Dixon and Mark Few might break through, while Calipari and Pitino are both due.
The toughest choices are those in games between a pair of atrocious coaches. Examples:
Tubby Smith vs. Rick Barnes Al Skinner vs. Tim Floyd One-n-Done Bobby Huggins vs. 2nd year ever head coach Saul Phillips
And yes, my NDSU vs. WVU matchup does imply that Billy Selfish and his Kansas Jayhawks will make an early exit. The game is in Minnesota and Gus Johnson will be calling the game. That there is enough to cheer for all of the dogs in that pod.

Speaking of which, I would mark if one of the players gassed and walked towards the CBS table saying "I'm done Gus".

Part of my picks came from watching the games this season and thinking that a team was underrated. Part of my picks came from natural bias due to the school I attend. Part of my picks came from the fact that I really liked someone's name. Part of my picks came from "Who is that? Meh, I need an upset for the heck of it." Add that all up...and you've got total success...or complete failure. I'm waiting to test my hypothesis.

I changed my national champion. It was originally Michigan State, but then I realized that word going around implies succinctly "The Big Ten sucks."
I don't even have my favorite team (Purdue) going past the 2nd round.
And, if you'd like to know, I have two 1s, a 2 and a 3 going to the Final Four. No way all 1s get in again...at least this year.

Louisville, UConn, Pitt, and Oklahoma in the Final 4.
#10 USC in the Elite 8.

So...I may have completely glazed over LSU/Butler when doing my bracket, ensuring complete failure for that game.
Maybe I just figured they'd both forfeit rather than face UNC next round. *Shrug*

All eight who were 3-3 picked Purdue, and therefore all go 4-4.

MGH Dominican Papi Spyke's Cardinals
They all lead with 15 out of 16 correct. MGH had Clemson over Michigan, Dominican Papi had California over Maryland, and Spyke's Cardinals had Butler over LSU.

13 of 16 isn't that bad, considering I know practically nothing about this year's pairings.

My little bro has a perfect bracket so far (he's just in the pool at my job, not on here). Mine is 13/16.
I actually switched a game from my work bracket, I had Butler winning in the one I submitted here, but LSU winning in my work bracket.
My little bro is in the work pool as well and has a flawless bracket so far, but he's got some longshot upsets today (N. Dakota St. over KU for one).

Man... 15/16 on Day 1 I was happy with.
Day 2 of the 1st round really screwed me (and most likely a lot of other people) over. Did anyone have Cleveland State over Wake Forest? Seriously?
