Did anyone see that??? It was awful. The jokes were tired the delivery weirdly wooden and the continuity is all screwed up. Bloody dreadful.

I wouldn't be surprised. It seemed like they rushed it out just for the sake of finishing up the story, and sacrificed the quality of the program.

it seemed like a lot of build up and a complete lack of jokes.

*shrug* I enjoyed it. Rimmer's bit about "I'll stay here and read a car magazine" cracked me up. Its a nostalgia trip, I'm just taking it for what it is, and its fun enough.

It's so strange without the studio audience laughing along with you. It just all seemed strange as it seemed to take itself alot more seriously at times.

I'll watch it tomorrow on IPlayer. To be honest though we were kids when it was on first time around, it was going to be less funny now anyway.

I enjoyed it but I can understand why others wouldn't. No where near as good as it could have been but deinately worth the wait.

Rimmer wasn't a Hologram in series 8, Also some continuity from Series 8 wouldn't hurt
Other than that, not bad

I actually enjoyed it.
I think some people were expecting to much from it and that is the problem. To me it isn't the worst episode ever produced and it isn't the best. Although it is a show that I welcome back with open arms.

There was originally going to be 4, 2 back to Earth - 1 making of & one back to basics (Aired live episode) then it got changed to a 3 part story I only have 2 complaints really - 1st one way too much CGI (And crap CGI at that) and 2nd - Give us a goddam resolution to the end of Series 8 dammit!

Well in my opinion a lack of continuity from season 8 isn't that much of a problem seeing as it was easily the worst series.

Oh and yes I agree Red Dwarf should never have CGI. It should always be grey sets and wobbly model spaceships, thats why no one wants those digitally remastered episodes on DVD

They reused the effect of Starbug whooshing by planets and stars seemingly a dozen times per episode.

What did everything think of Part 2?
Quite enjoyed it myself.......Without the crappy CGI to distract me I laughed quite a bit
And gotta admire the shameless self-promotion of the DVD
