Meh, just can't get excited about another nintendo retread. Well, you could always try the new innovative games for the PS3 or 360 like Metal Gear Solid 4, Halo 3 or Call of Duty 78. And I think there's 2 new God of War games on the horizon. Sorry, that probably comes across more assholish then I want it too. But in all honesty, this is the first game in the series in over 15 years, it's not like Nintendo is running the concept into the ground. It's like getting mad at them for making "Balloon Fight Wii" because they made one 25 years ago for the NES. But I digress, I'm so excited for this game I might buy it. And I don't even own a Wii, I'd have to go to my parents to play it like I did with Super Smash Bros.

While there's alot of retreads and sequels on the other consoles there ones I care about. The only franchise I care about on the Wii thats nintendo owned now a days is Zelda and Metroid.

Whats the point of this game when you have Wii boxing I'm not sure what you mean by that. They're not even close to being the same type of game.

I can dig that. I'm a pretty fierce Nintendo loyalist (even if I bought a 360 first, still haven't got a Wii) so I tend to jump to their defense at the drop of a hat.

Sorry, I don't really understand your point here. I mean, how are two games the same because they're the same genre? It's like saying Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Tekken are the same, or Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior and Fire Emblem. See what I mean?

Yeah, but that's about where the similarities end. You've never played a Punch Out game, have you? Ive played them all and I guess youre trying to say Wii Boxing is different because its not a real "game" its just an exercise tool ? No, that wasn't my point at all. Punch Out is an arcade style boxing game primarily focusing on quick reflexes and memorizing attack patterns. The formula pretty much only works as a single player experience. Wii Sports Boxing is basically just a standard "pummel your opponent until he can't stand up" type game. Its multiplayer is decent, but the single player is lacking. Even if you did add the pattern recognition aspects to the game, the imprecise controls would make it unplayable. The only way these games could be more dissimilar would be if Wii Sports was a straight up boxing sim.

Ive played them all and I guess youre trying to say Wii Boxing is different because its not a real "game" its just an exercise tool ? But Punch Out is sort of going the same direction, as I mentioned you can use the fit pad with it. The differences to me, looking at it as its presented now; - Wii Boxing has its moments, but didn't have the character. I don't remember seeing anybody I can think of right now, apart from guy with dark hair, guy with glasses, ect. PO's characters are just that; characters. They all have their unique attributes. - Playstyle. The PO games have a defined game play, and its one that's different from Wii Boxing. Yes, they're both boxing, but so Buster Douglas for my Sega, doesn't make it the same as Ready to Rumble. I'm NOT a long time fan, and have only recently played the original PO, so I have no deep rooted memories. PO just looks a lot more fun then Wii boxing was.

I hope it has Bald Bull, Mr. Sandman, and Super Macho Man. They are the only characters to be in both the NES and SNES versions of Punch Out. Hopefully, they'll make it into the third console game. Or they can give us Pizza Pasta from the arcade version instead.

Or they can give us Pizza Pasta from the arcade version instead. It's more or less a 3d remake of the NES game, so I assume the first three will be in there. Pizza Pasta is about as obscure as it gets though, so I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

For the very first time, I find myself wanting a Wii. I hope this game isn't anything like Super Punch Out, that game sucked hard.

Geez, too many negative comments in here.
I love the crowd that chooses to pan games that haven't even come out yet. It's as if they have ESP or something (not bloody likely).
