Gimmicks that were rightfully swept under the rug:
Mr. America Zach Gowen Heel Goldberg Heel Steve Austin Face Randy Orton Viscera, former Ministry member, who is on RAW for no reason B.B. Chaz Deacon Batista Reverend D-Von Three Minute Warning That fat albino guy from ECW, I can't remember his name Crush, Savio Vega, and PG-13: members of a militant group of black men Right to Censor (even though Stevie is still Steven as result) Brock and Goldberg, for their pitiful outing at WMXX.
I'm sure there are more, but I'm drawing a blank thus far.

Man, I enjoyed the Mr. America deal. I thought it was funny. It reminded me of the Blue Blazer and how everyone knew it was Owen, but he still did the schtick anyway. Oh, well.

I actually enjoyed the Austin heel turn in 2001 when it first began because I was just getting back into wrestling and didn't really know who Stone Cold was. Later I saw a few tapes from 98 and saw that character was so much better.

Should be noted that it appears the WWE is hoping we forgot about Snitsky and Lita as well.
I'm gonna have to go with Brock Lesnar.

I found it interesting how TnA tried to play up AJ's chase for the belt as if he never won the title before and it was some kind of life long dream.
And Jeff goes on about needed to carry a champion's attitude and walk like a champion when one of Aj's previous reigns was as an emerging heel.
Speaking of which, anyone else remember the shawn-micheal's vs. Bret Hart at Wrestlemania where they completely ignored the fact that they main evented each other before at survivor series and it wasn't a big deal to him back then (since he was a heel and didn't break out until he turned face). Not to mention he had already main evented Wrestlemania for the title a year before as well. I keep forgetting about that wrestlemania for some reason. I only remember the In your house match.
O yeah and Benoit winning the title, when technically he won it before, right when he left wcw.

I usually dislike the lack of continuity, but the one angle that I am glad was dropped was the Katie Vick angle.
When Kane cut his promo explaining to the "What?" chanting crowd about the car accident, I was so embarrassed for Kane... but when Triple H did the infamous "necrophilia" angle, I was embarrassed on behalf of wrestling. I recently read that video package wizard David Sahadi felt so guilty about not objecting to the skit that his guilt and disgust were factors in his voluntary resignation. To me, the whole Katie Vick fiasco reeked of desperation on WWE's part.
Usually I'm not a fan of deviant sex angles either. I was glad when Beaver Cleavage was dropped, and I read that Ken Shamrock vetoed a proposed storyline where he was to have an affair with his onscreen sister Ryan Shamrock. I wish more wrestlers would have that kind of integrity.

What, Deacon Batista!? Mmm hmm.
I loved G-TV. But damn, that was so seriously swept under the rug... and after all that time! Jeez.

3 Minute Warning wasn't bad..........They could have been cool, but it just never happened.....
It wasn't dropped like it never happened, poor Rosey was left on his own and made to look like a jack-ass....That's the sad part.

Does anyone remember when Rodney Mack came out with John Cena like twice as Red Dawg or something like that? Then he wound up on Raw and everyone treated him like just some new guy. I mean, whats that about?

Victoria's face turn was glossed over and never really explained. Why did Val Venis shave his head? Why is he no longer Chief Morley, Eric Bischoff's personal assistant? Why is Johnny Nitro still working if he lost a loser leaves the WWE match?

Mark Henry being a threat to main eventers.
I mean, really. Shawn Michaels shouldn't be stressed out or something about facing Mizark.
