As I said, it was basically a quote made to describe personal opinion. It was never intended to have the broad definition people attempt to give it now. Someone may have X-Pac heat with one fan, but not with another. Gotcha!!! Oh thank God!! Now, if I can get every other member of the IWC to grasp that, we're set.

I thought X Pac heat was pure silence? Or is that the Conway pop?

X-pac heat was coined mostly because X-pac got so stale and predictable and annoying to the point that whatever talent he had was overshadowed by the fact that the man never evolved as a character and most people either on the internet, or casual schmucks like myself at the time just got tired of watching him. I may not have changed the channel, but it's not like particularly cared to watch anything he was doing. It's kind of like Kane now, but at least Kane's had so many confusing and hilariously bad character tweaks, he's somehow morphed into this untouchable heat magnet. That and he's not an annoying stoner, who apparently is a very good company man. O and that Bronco buster was super gay. And I don't mean that in that "haha let's use gay as an insult", I mean literally, it was really gay.
There's a reason why during the invasion where all the WCW guys were bad guys, except ecw guys, that they'd cheer Billy freaking Kidman over X-pac, and they let him go over.
Cena would have gotten there if he didn't have a huge following of fans that just made it funny to boo him just out of spite and try to shut them up. That and he stepped up his game ever since he won the WWe title in 2005 even though no on chose to admit till about 2006 (around ONS 2).

For the record, I didn't actually mind X-Pac as much as your "average" IWC fan. I thought he was a good heel.

I personally define Work Rate as the ability to "work" the crowd. Which in my opinion has never been done better than by Hulk Hogan.
So yes Hogan had a tremendous Work Rate!

Again, we can't verify "X-pac heat" as real, because the audience actually cared enough to boo him, which was his job.
To verify "x-pac heat" we must look at quarter hour breakdowns from 2001 with segments featuring X-pac.
As we see on TNA, the during X-division matches the audience stops watching.
We can term it "X-division Heat"

It should be called 'Billy Gunn' heat how many times did they try to get him over and fail. I for one liked X-Pac and found him entertaining. It's basically a phrase which has been made up by fans who don;t like X-Pac.
X-Pac was a heel before the Invasion started they never gave him a reason for fans to give him a face reaction or pop and Kidman face face before joining the Invasion in WCW. It was more confusion in story lines angels and continuity rather than X-Pacs fault it was his booking. They were trying to get the fans to cheer X-Pac as a face with no reason to other than he was WWF and Kidman was WCW.

I thought X Pac heat was pure silence? Or is that the Conway pop? Yep, thats the Conway pop. Funny thing is the only time I remember him garnering a crowd reaction was the night he was fired. As for the origin of "kayfabe", I was made to understand that the word itself came from the carny days when a promoter would call home/ahead to the next town they were to travel to. They would call collect and use the name "Kay Fabian" so that the person on the other end of the line would know they were safe/on their way, and hang up instantly so that they wouldn't be charged for the call.

There should be a term for BABYFACES who garner so called X-Pac heat. From the individual I mean. I mean, when I see Hornswoggle I role my eyes and either change the channel or try to completely ignore him. Same with face GM (to be fair heel after 2000 as well) Stephanie McMahon, face Doink the Clown, Scotty 2 Hotty toward the end, etc. These are all my personal opinions. Results may vary. Consult your physician.
